Maybe it is because http://mint.hashrapid.com/ pool is down and the miners are failing over to other coins?
Unable to connect to wallet RPC service: Unable to connect:

In the mean time I will mine HBN.

You can get a lot more connections to the network by configuring port forwarding on your router, on port TCP/12788. I currently have 94 connections to the network, 91 of them are inbound (meaning they connect using the port forwarding)

Hope devs fix the UPNP issue, it would relieve the network.

Can you tell me how to do this? I am on options ---> network ---> auto-checked Map port using UPnP & underneath a second box available ---> Connect through SOCKS proxy:---> Proxy IP (Has numbers already?) Port (4 Numbers) SOCKS VERSION: (5)

Can I change the above to connect my wallet so it will synch and be functional? I would like to buy some MINT but I can't figure out where to hold them at.

You don't even need to get the wallet to connect to buy them, all you need is to open the wallet and generate an address.  If you don't connect until a year from now, it's still fine.

"Map port using UPnP" looks checked AND disabled in my wallet. If it's disabled, then it doesn't work, UPNP support isn't compiled into the wallet. If it were, then it would configure the router automatically.

It's not done from your wallet, you have to connect to your router device and configure it to forward tcp/12788 to your computer's LAN IP. Or if you don't want to fiddle with your router, you can do the addnode configuration given in the first page, but port forwarding makes connecting to the network much faster, at least for me. The IPs provided in the addnode list are probably overwhelmed.

Hi everyone,

just a quick note to tell that we are well aware of everything mentioned above. We are working hard for this coin, I personally haven't taken a single day of rest since launch, you have no idea of the amount of work needed behind the scenes. So give us some time, Bitcoin is 5 years old, MintCoin is 9 days old, and we will support this coin as long as it's needed for it to succeed.

Hey, great to see you posting ! Thank you for all the work you are doing.
But please consider this post : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=450381.msg5169298#msg5169298 and take all the help you can !
I can not code or anything like that but i will be more then happy to help any way i can. Facebook, give aways, donations, well whatever i can. Also there are a lot of other people that could actually help with coding etc. So, think about it Smiley
Keep on voting guys !

Anyone else lose Mintcoins from mint hash rapid pool? I had over 10k waiting from a manual payout and now the entire pool has been wiped of all transaction history and block finder history.

Do not mine on mint hash rapids pool.

Rock solid for a 5 days I've been using it.

Check out this site for legit free BTC. It's like an hourly free lottery ticket that always pays out at least 300 satoshi, and could net you over .3 BTC if you're really lucky. Just gotta fill out a captcha each time. (basically a faucet with chance of real reward)

My wallet can't get any active connections. The debug log says the client has tried every host in the example conf, has connected to a few and then has been dropped.

Is there a DoS attack afoot?

[edit]

I got one good connection here: 115.28.129.207, which is a Chinese pool listed on the topic post.
