OK, here's a good explanation of how minting works in general. This is the method used for PPC, but I'm sure the same method applies for MINT Smiley

http://www.reddit.com/r/peercoin/comments/1twavl/proof_of_stake_explained_sort_of/

Might want to take out the relevant bits and put in the OP...

If this is useful, feel free to send some MINT my way Smiley
MINT address: MpCH9kNNKMFTFJCPdrGrgXG9236ZJV4R1A

It must also know the time and day since I've minted four batches of coins yesterday and so far four batches of coins today for a total of 40 different minting for a total of 4963.70683 coins.  Then while I was typing this in is starting minting another batch of coins with the first minting of 57.544109 coin for a grand total of 5021.250939 minted coins in two days. So you may wonder what am I doing? I'm opening my wallet ever hour or so (it's minted again for 63.073972 coins) and I leave it open until the stake has zeroed out. It seems about the rate that they have hit my wallet is about the time spacing between the minting. The first coins hit my wallet on 2/6/2014 14:50. Another 75.168219. Easy coins are rolling in now.

It would be a very good idea for everyone to transfer their coins to an Exchange site. They really need them to be able to MINT with youre coins.

One question about the minting is it LIFO or FILO or does it just grab random coins when you transfer coins out of your wallet since I've not sent any coins out of my wallet I've only taken coins in.

Minting works great, minted some new coins using my old ones. Wish I kept my 2 mill mints, but I sold a lot of mint when the price peaked.

Maybe a dev can answer this:
When you mint coins you are actually creating a new block with your minted coins that's added to the blockchain right?
While minting do you also confirm transactions and if so do you receive tx fees?

Okay. My quess then I Been scammed for coins if there is no issues with wallet. 2 days of nonstop mining with 800khs and I get only 6k confirmed mints... Smells like scam for me. THE Pool page I BEEN MINING at, is https://mint.maxminers.net.
The pool also shown on first page of this thread on pool list.

The owner of website fix the problem or he is in trouble!
I contacted but still nobody contacted me to solve this.

To the owner of the pool: Fix my problem please and check the correct amount of conffirmed coins from my mined blocks aswell.

my Mint Coin Adress:
MdBNaAveG7gChvWNq2HVicRnpBjAEzwYWt

Suggestion: If the pool fixes this, edit the scam accusations out of your post... Don't want to harm a pools rep if was just a screw-up.  Wink

At the current and the diff. even 2 days ago 800Kh/s is not going to get you much mint.
Well yeh I agree, I only have 2 x R9 270x and just started mining two week ago. I just dont like to waste my time. By the way... coins still didnt come and it show as confirmed at pool. Undecided they just vanished. It so fuck up that there is too many pools stealing the coins

Well yeh I agree, I only have 2 x R9 270x and thats nothing. Amount per day on pool was ranging 10k-17k mints per day and why I got 6k for 40 hours... Doesnt matter no coins at pool and no coins at wallet so it seems im off for another coin.
Just started mining two week ago. I just dont like to waste my time.

Hello, a couple questions:
Do I have to keep my wallet opened for the minting process?
I downloaded the Mac 1.4 version, and it's unable to connect to the network, any idea?

I'm currently mining using the Hashrapid pool. Why does the OP list it with a "(Huh)"?

Looks like if you have a '\' or '/' in your passphrase, you can't unlock it for minting.

Error: The wallet passphrase entered was incorrect. (code -14)

Can anyone confirm?

Yeh it seems some strange things happened sometime with wallets when i been reading at pages 30-40 at this thread. Was mining and coins didnt came to my wallet and the wallet could not connect to the network as well. Before I realized that wallet is not connected to network, I was very confused with situation.

1st close all other wallets of any other cryptocurrency.

2nd Close Mintcoin wallet.

3rd Delete mintcoin.conf file from app data folder.

4th Now start Mintcoin wallet and that's it.

Option 2: Changed to new config from OP and restart computer.

IF it not working try to go

That what worked for me, the suggestion wich I got from page 32

If you use windows, the config dir usually located at: c:/users/**yourcomputername**/AppData/Roaming/MintCoin.

Go to this dir, you should see files like wallet.dat and peers.dat, and check if you have mintcoin.conf file, if you don't, then create it. Add those addnodes in above posts there and restart the client. You should connect to the network.
