Where are the Minted coins from?

same place the mined coins came from. thin air. block rewards

I thought that we will mine all 70 billions coins POW.
So there is reserve for next minting years 20%, 15%, 10%, 5% and after 3 years will be released all coins? Then 5% Minting will be from transactions fee?

1) how much coins will be mined (not minted)?
2) in case not all 70bill. mined the rest will be minted?
4) I will receive from minting exactly 20, 15, 10% in three years?
5) then get 5% still from unreleased coins?

Why's Mint going down?

It's because everyone saw what happened last week, with the price skyrocketing - and consequently they're expecting the same thing to happen again now that the rewards for mining have reduced....... no whale has stepped in to bring the price up, so consequently the weaker traders are starting to panic..... "ooh, it's not going up like I thought - bail now" kinda thing.

It's a great ploy by the big money men - make people believe the price will go up when the mining reward drops, and when THEY don't inject a load of BTC into it, they watch the weak bail out.... once it goes low enough they'll buy everything up once more, and the sellers will be kicking themselves - again!

The price's been lowering.I think again that's to cause some sort of panic selling.I really find no good-enough reason for the price to fall for now so that must be again some sort of confusion. To expect again a lot of panic and people selling coins about. We should soon go up again.

We are in week 4 now?
So blocks will be halved once more next week and we have like 13 mining days left?
Is that correct?

What else has changed, in the negative sense? Nothing.
People are now earning POS, and the reward for mining is lower - both POSITIVE points for Mint.

The only negatives (as far as I see) are people's expectations, and they're easily preyed on. Hell, this time last week 2000BTC+ was thrown at this - you really think they don't know what they're doing?

I don't think anyone will dump this. We're here to bring the coin to the top and benefit from its great features.Sure, there are people panic selling and causing confusion but that's to happen. We shouldn't be somehow affected by this.

Long term success is in investing and merchants accepting this coin. Not trading.
If devs work hard on getting this coin accepted, then it will be success.

We are working hard on a merchant acceptance website right now.

It is called MintStart

We are doing allot of work on SEO to target people new to cryptocurrencies and mini sites are being built to bring in organic traffic.

There are translators getting the site into several different languages (chinese being one of them).

So please let me assure you that we are doing our bit to contribute towards development and mainstream acceptance.

Afterall, this coin is still only a baby and we are trying to give it a healthy environment to grow up in. It needs to be nurtured and loved etc Cheesy.

Hello everyone,

i actualy belive that mintcoin is a great coin and that it has a future. Short term swings are normal and to be expected.
Since i belive in the future of mintcoin i decided to do a special giveaway. I belive that this giveaway can help mintcoins community
to grow and also get attention from pretty much anywhere.

So lets get to the giveaway.

It will be a Blog about Mintcoin giveaway !

The rules are simple, create a blog about mintcoin ( with some rules to fallow ) and recieve 25 000 mintcoins !
The first 100 people that create a blog about mint will qualify for the promotion.
After you create the blog, simply paste the link in the official blog giveaway thread and you will get the coins asap.
Here is the thread :  http://www.mintcointalk.com/index.php?topic=242.new#new

Not only that but the first 250 people that read the blog and decide to jump in on mint will be able to get 1000 free mint !
They just have to go to the forum, register and ask for them in this thread : http://www.mintcointalk.com/index.php?topic=243.new#new

Now the rules for the blog.

- it HAS to be a blogpost, no forum topics, comments etc
- it has to be well writen and informative ( 1 sentence blog posts will not be accepted)
- any language is accepted but the blog posts will be checked if they actually contain real info about mintcoin
- the blog has to contain the official web page - www.mintcoin.cc
- the blog has to contain any of the logo/banner designs used for mintcoin ( you can get the designs that my designer made here : https://mega.co.nz/#!GRhVmKrD!rHy8Bbr0f38Ieb5hnKM8qYjoDnyekVHtDNSu5vm0vV0 )
- information about the get 1000 mint free promo

This means that i will be giving away from my personal stash 1 625 000 mints ! For the curios, i have about 50 milion mint and i think
that spreading a decent % of them is the right thing to do.
As i will be doing this alone i will gladly accept any help for traking the blog posts and the new registered users of the forum, so if any one
would like to be so kind an offer his help please do so Smiley

As i am doing this promotion by myself, however if there are other people in the community that like this promotion and would like to take
part in it, well feel free to join Smiley Any coins added will go either for a bigger  reward ( more then 15k and more then 500  for the new users ),
or will go into extending the promotion ( more then 100/250 people ).

Any comments and ideas are appriciated. I am also looking for some on to help me create a " how to get mintcoins for dummies " guide. A detailed explanation on how to get mints with pictures ( like go to the exchange, get BTC, then transfer them and get mints, then start minting ).

Okay i think this is for now, in order to not hijack this thread please post only comments on the giveaway itself, no blog posts etc !
