So I finally minted my first coins and they got confirmed (actually 1027 times). Now do I need to wait 20 days again to become all my coins mature again?
Congratulations! Yes - they will mature again in ~20 days.

Wow, I was not expecting this . I dont want to wait 20 days before I can mint again. We all have to wait. It's not just free money (doesn't exist). It is actually quite a high payout/reward for doing nothing and just waiting, compared to other coins, even other securities and financial instruments. If the reward and payout is too high and too often, it is not good for the supply (which affects price), or the security (which also affects price). There are certain parameters for a reason.

Stop Mining. Start Minting. Mintcoin [MINT] 5% annual minting reward. Mintcoins don't wear out like mining gear. They keep on minting!

Not really "news" but looking ahead, the reward drops by 33% in about 6 months. That could shake things up a bit.

I'm not familiar with Ubuntu. But try closing it down. Then restart the client. Give it time. Check the file directory where the blochain is and see if the file is getting bigger or if any other action is happening, like a log file or something. Does the wallet say not responding? Screenshots?

So i haven't been keeping up with the forums as much as i should but has there been any method of recieving our coins back from mintpal? I losted all my coins on that site sadly and recently somebody from karma coin was able to recover the coins stolen from mintpal so i'm wondering if mint was able to do the same?

I was a part of Mintcoin from launch. What nice feeling seeing the donation of Mintcoin on the Linux Mint OS. Glanced through and noticed most big exchanges have dropped mint. Nice to see still around. Figured I'd show Linux Mint is somewhat promoting MINT as a crypto donation.

Make sure to submit your website to http://www.mintshops.com/ for extra exposure I won't do that just yet as I can only make this offer for the moment based on current market conditions. So people are aware, if I were to receive the Mintcoins I would process them like a merchant would, make up a modest shortfall out of my own BTC, and add it to an investment pool. If a few people contributed Mintcoins and then purchased them back from exchanges, then trading volume would increase and this would likely increase the price of MINT. Then I could make further offers for less MINT. If people contributed Mintcoins and did not purchase them back, then the price would be driven down and I would make no further offers. Either way I am offering to return investment funds as per the conditions on the site so you can think of this as a hedge and something that could potentially revitalise Mintcoin.
