Coming soon, 'Bet on Tekken' twitch TV channel. It will broadcast Tekken battles from Japan, and you will be able to bet in Mintcoin. The channel is here: http://www.twitch.tv/betontekken/profile

As soon as Poloniex releases funds needed for the venture, Mintcoin betting will be live! It may be used in rotation along with Quark, Dogecoin & Lottocoin.
In order to get the maximum amount of activity points possible, you just need to post once per day on average. Skipping days is OK as long as you maintain the average.

Question for the programmers:

What is the exact line and where do I enter it to turn off the Litestaking feature in Mint?

Thanks.

 Cool

I want to see if disabling it decreases the amount of orphans any.

3rd time.

sorry, there is no "litestaking" feature in MINT to disable as it was never ported in to MINT in the first place

Ok,

Read some discussions that led me to believe PressTab added it during the timeshift fix.

Last question:

What is this line 1504 in src/wallet.cpp on git hub for if not lite stake.
+        static int nMaxStakeSearchInterval = 15;

it used to be = 60.

Thanks.

that was reduced to 15 when presstab fixed the timedrift hole (where someone could artificially "attack" the network with incorrect time settings) in order to fall within the new maximum timedrift range (30 seconds).

There could be SOME "wiggle" room in the value it was reduced to, but it is a very very far cry from what was labeled as "Litestake" in other coins. Changing the value of nMaxStakeSearchInterval MAY relieve you of some orphans...but it can also lead to MORE orpahns.

I have sent some mint there everytime i stake. Is that address locked forever? if so should i send to address you posted from now on?

EDIT: It is still listed as Mint Dev Fund in the ann.

You can look at the Mint Guardian address and see that it hasn't paid out since August.  We hope eventually these funds will move but in the meantime I would not donate to Mt6nEG8Pp7kyimcHEp3gFqdjDPQqXas5Ae.  Yes, it should be removed from OP.  It's was deleted from my Twitter a while ago @MintyAllDay.  Admin of this thread has been unavailable for close to 6 months.  Maybe we could consider starting a new mintcoin thread so we can keep it current and updated?

I suppose I owe an explanation for my disappearance.

As a community coin we need to have a backup plan that does not consist of starting all over whenever life hits the fan for one. With this said I would like to offer Ursay a copy of the mintcoin official wallets, access to the primary hosting for all mintcoin assets as well as keys to all Mintcoin social personas.

In additiona to the above post, I received an email from cryptomommy on 1/6/15 which suggested making me the backup for mintcoin assets.  I responded on the same day but have not heard from her since.  I just sent a follow up today via email directly asking for access.

nothing "official" about the address I posted...and (for the time being) the "official" guardianship fund address is as you posted. Its true that the guardianship address has been mostly inaccessible for the past few months as it relies solely on cryptomommy. I was simply offering up an alternate address that IS accessible here and now.

Donation/Fund addresses will be (pun intended) addressed and ultimately redone in the future so they don't revolve around a single point of failure, but we're not quite ready to make such a change at this very moment.

rename it walletorig.dat

and you need the private key, not public (my fault)

to import it you type importprivkey keygoeshere

1.
With your current wallet open and running (ie, before renaming anything), goto the debug console and type in 'dumpprivkey <MINT_ADDRESS>' (no quotes or braces around your MINT address ofc). this will return your private key for that address. copy that to a safe place.

2.
Close the wallet program completely, then go into your data directory (where wallet.dat is located) and rename wallet.dat to something else (like wallet.old). Once that is done, open up the wallet program again. It will create a NEW wallet.dat file with a new default address.

3.
Once the wallet program is up and running again, goto the debug console and type in 'importprivkey <privkey> [label]' (no quotes or braces again) using the privkey that you copied in step 1 and an optional label.

4.
Once the importing of the privkey is done, you MAY need to close the program and start it up again with the '-rescan' option pick up any transactions that it missed during the import. YMMV with this being a necessity.
