It's true that the other coin was somewhat premined as can be seen pages 10-20 of your thread and that a bunch of dishonest people are involved in it

That group  rented for 10 days a couple of GHs for this operation.

Blackcoin was not premined but was instamined.

ahh ok I'm still learning some but it's obvious others couldn't mine while some users that are still trying to manipulate people had no problem at all

Just like MaxFailcoin, the same history.

In the other hand i mined Mint since block 250, no problems mining since the beggining.

Yes Mintcoin is a great coin with a great future and a good HONEST community. As for the other coin they even made up all that stuff about multipools being so great the truth is multipools have little effect on price but if something is easy to manipulate then you can use the multipool as a tool to get others to buy. Dont get me wrong I really appreciate what hashco is doing and they seem to be real good honest people

Mintcoin looks than other coins have more credibility
Is? Community friends
I need you to give me advice should start mining
Thank you

from what I understand the mint multipool mining option is a valid option

Mintcoin to $1 please

With the current price of ~$488=1BTC to reach $1 one mint has to be at least 0.00204919 BTC. Reaching $1 for one mint will be easier when BTC price rises. For example when 1BTC=$1000, one mint 'only' has to reach 0.001 BTC

It's hard to reach such prices with billions of coins like mint has. I think it's economically possible to reach $0.35 for 1 mint, that would be a dream come true.

I pledge 250K MINT to be paid upon receiving a basic working prototype of Android wallet.

Anyone wanna match me on this?

already pledging to donate 300k  Grin got message from the developers that they have someone working on it and there soon will be a bounty thread for that. With all the clones popping up they better hurry up!!!

Yes, that would be a handsome profit indeed. I think it's entirely feasible. Dollar parity would be a wonderful outcome, but it is best to temper one's expectations realistically. However, there is no telling how far this thing could go.

With a secure android wallet that mints I think dollar parity, and surpassing btc itself, will be a matter of course.

Good morning everyone,

I don't want to interrupt the talk of the Android wallet to much, just wanted to post a reminder. If you have free miners, the multi pool is one of the best ways you can support the community. Even though your return may be a bit smaller than mining on your own the pool is much more convenient. Just sit back and relax and wake up to Mint in your wallet. A higher hashrate also shows interest in Mintcoin. Have a good one!

We are approaching 1 week since payouts in MINT were implemented on http://hashco.ws  While I appreciate the new miners who have given us a shot and 'mined' some mint, the uptake isn't quite what I'd hoped for.  In an effort to try and get things going, I received a total of 1,850,000 mint in bounties for implementation.  If we can reach 300Mh/s in new hashrate that gets paid out in mint, and maintain it for at least 5 days, I'll give away all of it to random miners in the form of 3 prizes; 1mil, 600k, 250k.  (personal hashrate will play no bearing on the prize winners, 10Mh/s or 300Kh/s, you'll have the same chance of winning).

I'll post updates here on hashrate status if warranted.

Happy Mining.

Sign up, go to account settings and change payout to Mint. By the time this pays out, we'll probably be at 30 Satoshi!

Ya it's fast. Actually a lot faster wallet to wallet. The exchanges first process the withdrawal which takes a few minutes. I had mint on 2 computers. I sent from one wallet to another and saw the "incoming" pop-up almost simultaneously.

Hashcows now over 1600 mh, keep em comin'!

I can pledge at least 125K MINT at this time. Wish it could be more but the funds I can part with are drying up and I am still planning on donating more to the Mint Foundation.

I can pledge 125K for when a fully functional wallet that mints is deployed.

Im also asking a developer for a twitter bot, maybe i will fund myself alone. is not too much. Smiley

We are better, we are greener we are mint.

I think donations would work much better if there was an escrow account for the bounty, so that if it never went through, people just got their coins back. The only thing is, who wants to put their coins in an escrow account when they could be minting. Perhaps a BTC bounty escrow account?

Someone mentioned all the Mintcoin clones popping up. If 'we' (collective and royal) put up money and get a mintcoin Android app, would it be private for just Mintcoin? Or would the source code be public? If public then people can ride our coattails and vulture 'our' hard work and invested Mintcoins. I'll contribute to said Android Wallet App Fund too.

So there's a Mintcoin Foundation, right? Could the Android Wallet App be owned by them? I mean, if the developer gets a bounty, the Intellectual Property could flow to another entity with a simple contract. We do this all the time at work. That would lock up the IP, keep the vultures at bay, and allow transparency for people who want to audit the code for security reasons.

This is a big deal, we're willing to pony up our own coins, and I don't want it repurposed. If we can lock up the IP for Mintcoin only, maybe via the foundation, I'll commit at least 25,000 Mintcoins to the effort.

What if the developer would like his work to be open source?

It's definitely something that should be discussed.
