I'm new here. I was looking forward to exchanging paypal currency for MTGOX or bitcoins. I was told that this is the site to do it.

I was wondering how long the Newbie limits are? Also, are there any restrictions on using Paypal to exchange? I know PP can be a bit
draconian with their rules.

Thanks!

I would suggest getting an account at one of the many exchanges(MtGox, Tradehill, CampBX, ExchB) and transfer funds into it then buy BTC there. ExchB accepts deposits at local banks if you are in the US.

No one will deal in paypal unless they already trust you.  It's too easy to scam.

Paypal is a pain in the ass anyway. If you create a completely new account on ebay and try to sell something, you are nowadays FORCED to create a Paypal account, too!
Isn't that terrible? I will surely boycott Paypal for the rest of my life...and you should do that too, at least for buying bitcoins...

Yeah, it's been that way for a while now. It's why I stopped using eBay altogether.

Can't imagine the amount of money they must make off that little setup

eBay does that even if you have an old account. It's quite annoying.
