Have you ever been hacked by a hacker? How much did you spend on hacker attacks the previous time? I had the slightest chance of revealing my personal password but then I quickly dropped the bat in another wallet.

Its probably phishing scam, the most famous form of hackin today aside from DDS attack. The hackers imitating a certain exchanger site just like etherdelta. Hackers just imitate the name of the site, just changing one letter or putting some extra character just trying to trick its victim and once private key is given to them then say goodbye to your wallet address.

I vote for hardware wallet, i think that is the most secure wallet these days.
Since our data stored offline with more encryption.

I think if you have to keep your own private key, avoid using a public computer to access your account,
mark MEW and make sure your internet device is safe from hackers.

If the wallet offers a two-factor authentication take it. This means that if someone had access to your login details, they would also need your phone to get the 2FA code. However, note that text and email 2FA are not recommended as these can easily be intercepted if someone has access to your email, or ports your phone number to a new device.

Be cautious when downloading files, not only in email. Remember that there are clever people out there in crypto. You’ll notice files posted in communities, on Telegram, Facebook, Reddit, Bitcoin Talk, etc. As tempting at it is to click them(free moneyzz), be aware that they could be bait. Always use caution. I usually use Kaspersky's File Desk to quickly check links and files.

I think I should copy the private key on the paper and put it in the safe.
Don't use your private key and download a full block of your wallet.

use hardware wallet. This becomes the solution that many offered at the moment and it's worth a try. for security no doubt and this certainly will make wallet protected from much of the hacking occurred at this time. or most importantly don't open weird sites usually contain phishing scams because certainly very dangerous, too.

Nowadays people complain about their account being hacked
We need experts here to give us some tips on how a wallet can be secured from being hacked
Your submissions will be welcome
Cheers!

actually the wallet on the exchange can not be properly secured, because we do not even participate in holding the private key of our own wallet. so if we really want the wallet really safe, then stored on the wallet that we only know the key, the exchange is not really safe at all.

I'm no expert here but some of those who are complaining about being hacked were either too gullible or too complacent that their accounts are safe without added security. There are lots of click baits that target newbies because let's admit the fact that when we see $$$ signs, chances are there will always be that somebody who can't resist but to click it. Thus, allowing malwares to get into their pc and wipe their accounts clean. Meanwhile, we should always think that hackers are smarter and are always one step ahead of us. Because once we think otherwise next thing we know we've just fallen victim to their traps.

Wallets are mainly hacked nowadays due exposure of private keys, seeds and mnemonic phrases. So many phishing sites are out there with the aim of hacking into people's wallet, in order to transfer their assets. On our part, let's do due diligence by simply protecting our private keys. If possibly, obtain a hardware wallet.

Your wallet cannot be hacked without any malicious activity done by you, hackers usually trap newbies using phishing links. We have to make sure we are clicking the right website, the best way is never click a link you don't trust and only open your wallet through original bookmarked link. You can use metamask, I like it so much but unlike others I don't trust hardware wallets. They comes with keyphrase already installed and I don't believe that no one else knows that phrase except me.

I believe that getting hacked is more on user error and not the system itself. Most users saying they got hacked are either careless and does practice safety of their wallets. I have been using online wallets for so long an I haven't had any issue of lost savings or being hacked.

This is a very common stuff nowadays. Wallets are being hacked anyhow. There are so many phishing sites out there looking for victims. The responsibility of any token holder therefore, is to protect his/her wallet judiciously. Don't expose your private keys and your seeds. Keep these things secret to yourself and avoid visiting anyhow websites.

The best way to protect yourself from hacking and stealing your funds is to purchase a hardware wallet. Use a hardware wallet, for example TREZOR and you will be calm for your money and there will be no headache Cool

You don't need experts. You just need to be cautious and act smart. Try not be stupid while handling your wallet. If you are using a desktop wallet, make sure you computer is clean. Always keep your wallets encrypted so that even if the hacker gets hold of your .dat file, he won't be able to use it. If you are holding huge amount of coins, keep them in offline and cold storage wallet.

yes that was some time ago I experienced and it is very annoying. The first thing I want to do is change my old wallet address, and do not forget the confirmation to the bounty manager. then immediately buy wallet hardware to be more secure than hacking. more cautious again because it involves money and assets.

There is no need for an expert advise or words
Only you is capable of compromising your account
Nobody hacks your wallet except you give them the right

You give them right by
1. Clicking links from your email asking you to claim your airdrops or phishing links telling u won eth
2. Taking risk of logging in your information on your friends phone
3. Filling fake airdrops forms
4. Out of greed, clicking cheap purchase links especially forkdelta links

Just be calm and do the right things
Then your wallet will always be safe

If you click a phishing bait and expose yourself unnecessarily, your fund will be stolen! The security risk is the reason I always advocate for basic knowledge of cryptocurrency. Find out if you are newbie how cryptocurrency work!
