Hi all!!

One rig of a friend suddenly start mining at 50 MHz/s with one RX580 8Gb. And still running 4 hours stable.
He have 1 RX580 8Gb + R9 280 4GB . Normally running at 50 mh/s together.

https://imageshack.com/a/img924/2347/FeM477.jpg

My question now is, how is this possible?? If all RX can reach 50mh/s... omg
Is possible that he found a “bug ” and boost all the RX ? Aliens!!!

What do you think guys ??

Best regards mining from Spain !!

Could also hit the s key and then snap a shot. Interesting if true

That might be the "4gb r9 280" lol. That is fake news guys. The RX 580 can't hit 50 consistently and there is no such thing as r9 280 4gb.

At best this is a glitch from one miner. Another person here claimed the same but when he checked the stats at for example ethermine.org or wherever he was mining, he saw that the maximum hashrate was only 31 mhs for a RX 580.

I don't know about the R9 280 which should be 3 GB and not 4 GB, as that card is old and obsolete right now, not to mention the power consumption of that card which with today mining rewards is not worth at all, unless you have free electricity , then it maybe worth.

Only the RX580 is mining at 50-52mh/s (still mining after 7hours) and this  is 100% true. I don’t want to make stupid fake or hype news. I don’t want to sell any modded bios or whatever

Before this morning, that card works at 28-30 mh/s as usual. We don’t change anything.

I post here to find a possible explanation.

I have 9 AMD RX580 8GB mining Eth and no ones beats the 31mh/s so I know it’s weird but it is.

I asked for a screenshot of the GPU specs, I’ll upload it soon as possible.

Thanks you guys

Give the link of the pool and wallet address that is mining.
If it is a bug, you can see 50mh/s at miner but the real hash will appear at pool.
If this is true, you can see 50mh/s at pool side reports too.

Hi, I'm wesdak's friend, and the owner of this "X files" RX580.

This RIG has 1 x RX580 8GB Asus Dual and 1 x Spahire R9 380 4GB. This RIG is a little inestable... I use to have to reboot it a couple times every week. Afther a windows update and reinstalation of AMD mining drivers, and some reboots, one day (no the next day) it start to mine at 50 Mh/s the RX580. Now mining at 53 Mh/s.
I do nothing to achieve this speed, it just start to mine at this speed...more than a day.
I have the claymore configured to restart the miner if the speed is less than 40 MH/s.

I have not monitor/keyboar/mouse in this RIG, and only have remote access by teamviewer... at just 800x600 resolution. I just made some screenshots, here the link.

https://imageshack.com/a/img921/9880/4SFmqq.jpg

Here my nanopool stats:
https://eth.nanopool.org/account/0x9a6f91cd3709c09397ce72cb9883f1d04a55d202

The "X files" RIG is named "RIG4-R390"... now mining at 74 Mh/s !!

I think I must to stop the rig and clone the 120GB SSD of the RIG. xDDDD

**EDIT: In the pool only reported hashrate is anormal hi. The Current calculated and average is low. Seems that the card is near death Tongue

I'm sure that was a glitch. Your GPU 0 got an incorrect share, and I'm sure the GPU 0 hasn't any share to the pool (check it) that's usually caused by OC setting (you need to lowering it)

**EDIT: In the pool only reported hashrate is anormal hi. The Current calculated and average is low. Seems that the card is near death Tongue

That's shown that only one card worked and had a valid share to the pool.

your card never mined 50-70 or 74 MH/s , not even close to that.
your mining software have a false reading for some reason, that reading sent sent to the pool , as a reported hashrate
you real hashrate is 15.1MH/s  Grin thats the worst i ever seen for a RX580 card Smiley

I've had this issue in the past. It happens when you mod your memory straps incorrectly or mod them and set your memory clock way too high or memory controller voltage way too low.

Its pretty bad when it happens because you will get a very bad share rate and you won't realize it unless you manually count the amounts of shares that you should of submitted during a specific amount of time.

I gaurantee you that you are not getting 50mh/s, your effective rate is most likely not even 28mh/s but more like 15-20mh/s since you are mostly finding incorrect shares.

Adjust your clocks and the issue should go away.

Memory Controller only 22% on GPU Z Screenshot and it must be at 99 - 100%. So it is a Glitch and your 580 never sent 1 Share to pool.
I had the same with a rx560, it has mined at 130mh. But normal thinkin person known that this is not real.

I think your card is too much overclocked, and you got bad share report for GPU 0.

Your stats are bad, got some bug like this (misreport because too much OC), in others mining protocol, but never on ETH those.

Funny how many people have reacted to this. Just shows how many people are still new and getting into mining. FYI, this has been a known glitch that sometimes happens, and as pointed out by other posters, it is not a real hashrate. You may be lucky enough to see the glitch on your miner but you will never be really lucky enough for your GPU to be hashing at that hashrate. The share count submitted to the pool will be proof that you are even mining less than you expect.

it is unfortunately impossible for the card to see those values.
It should not be impossible. If it happens, bad things happen.
