On Saturday 6/8/19 the CatoCoin block chain will fork at block 495,217 and all running masternodes will be deactivated.
CatoCoin is switching to a new Tiered Masternode Platform with three tiers and increasing collateral for each Tiers as the TOTAL Number of masternodes increases (as we have in the past). Rewards also change as the number of Masternodes increase (see below chart).

Of significant note is that POS reward goes from 30% down to 5% with the new wallet and fork
Tier 1 : 25,000 Coins - 10% of the block reward
Tier 2 : 50,000 Coins - 25% of the block reward
Tier 3 : 100,000 Coins - 60% of the block reward

 Didnt even need to do that. Maybe when I try to handshake the actual MN - otherwise, it works as an installer. Good job dude!

 Just pressed enter. What is odd though, is that I launched the CLI with "setgenerate true" - been like 10 minutes and not even one coin when I do getunconfirmedbalance. The OSx QT in generating fine.

your distrust of Masternode coins as an industry is pretty well deserved I must say. We feel the same way. Coin after coin coming out with insane ROI percentages that are totally unsustainable for more than several days, merely to attract people who think (and often do) make a lot of money in a very short period of time if they happen to have one of the first few MN's and the dev can keep the scam going long enough before the ponzi scheme comes crashing down under the weight of the massive amount of coins generated in a short period of time.

I will say there are a number of very legitimate Masternode coins out there but alas they are few and far between and the market space as a whole has been given a well deserved bad rap by the 'shit coins' that have propagated..so I truly get where you're coming.

The only thing I can assure you is that CatoCoin is different. No empty promises, real innovation, realistic ROI and a dedicated team to insuring it's long term survival.

this feature will be able to be turned on and off by the user. The basics are that zerocoin protocol will be used between the wallets and hub. Since AWS announced BYOL Lambda functions we'll be able to use the existing C code in VPC restricted Lambda function then https from the AWS based microservices to the exchange(s). Much more to come on this in the future but the simple fact is this, while block chain is cutting edge the  process of transferring coins to an exchange, listing the coins, getting payment etc is in the stone ages. It about as 'waterfall' as it comes, not agile at all.

I am staking my coins at the moment.
CatoCoin has good potential to become the second Light Pay Coin, which is the brightest one in Crypto Bridge exchange during the last two weeks.

If you've been following CatoCoin closely you're aware that when we reached 31 MN's the reward was scheduled to increase from 5.2 CatoCoins to 5.64 along with a collateral increase from 2,200 to 2,400 coins. The collateral increase went into effect, but the reward increase did not. Our development team has concluded the issue was an oversight on their part, for which they feel terrible. They have looked carefully at the codebase and concluded that any change to rewards at this point in time would require a fork. If we were to fork the coin, Crypto-Bridge.org requires 7 days notice and will immediately lock all withdrawals and deposits to protect coins that are on deposit and avoid any unnecessary support tickets that could arise from lost deposits or withdrawals. This would interrupt valuable trading for multiple days.

After a thorough analysis of the rewards schedule and many conversations with the development staff, technical advisers and our initial Masternode owners we have decided that a fork is not in the best short-term or long-term interest of the coin and it's holders and we will allow the current reward of 5.2 coins/block continue to Masternode 61, when the collateral is scheduled to increase as planned with the existing wallet. This decision was based on multiple factors, the most important being that the current reward of 5.2 coins as opposed to an increase to 5.64 only decreases ROI from 3,956% --> 3,674%, ROI days is only increased from 9.4 days --> 9.9 days and finally there would be no interruption in the ability of coin holders and potential buyers to buy and sell CatoCoin on Crypto-Bridge. As pointed out by numerous coin holders this change penalizes no one and benefits no one.

If Catocoin team can fix the issue completely, CatoCoin will get attention of more investors.
It is mainly because stable ROI projects are always good choices for investors.
They don't want to see real profits plummeted due to more investors invested money into projects, which lead to sudden rises in staking weight and active masternodes.

Hiccups are expected for new technology. At the rate that Catocoin is climbing (up almost 40% today!) there will be people fomoing to get their MasterNode setup before the next collateral raise. I'm a new investor in Catocoin, but i'm holding on for a long time and enjoying the rewards that keep coming. No need to be worried since this hiccup affects everyone the same. In fact, Catocoin team stated that block rewards will remain the same as of before 31st masternode in the network.
Block rewards will change after the 61st masternodes activated in Catocoin network.
Bugs found, but rewards will be increased at the next changing point to avoid forks and exchange issues.

Here at Catocoin we don't do anything by the  book.  Basically there is no way to offer a FAIR shared MN Service. It's impossible due to the fluctuating price of coins (In our case the constantly rising price of coins).   We've gotten at least a half a dozen proposals from Shared MN services and we have not liked a single one.

All of them want US to put THEM in business by giving them OUR coins - yea right... not gonna  happen!  Many of them take as much as 30% - that's nuts..20% is reasonable to us.


So we are starting our own shared MN service with some of the pre-mined coins which are currently sitting idle in Cold Storage

This is how it will work;

The Shared MN will be started with 2,400 coins - the current required collateral.

1.   You can buy-in up to  2,400 coins at the CURRENT ASKING PRICE ON  CB. You do not need to buy from CB, you can buy from us at the current asking price.

2.   Minimum buy-in is 1 Seat (120 coins) - 120 coins are currently .072 BTC on CB

3.  There will ONLY be weekly payouts - no  sooner (Saturday or Sunday we will decide).

4. You can ONLY Cash-out at the end of the week. No mid week Cash outs. A Cash out is  your % of earnings for the week plus your buy-in number of coins - minus 20%. Example:  if you bought in for  240 coins (100% of 2,400 collateral) you'll get 240 coins back plus your earnings for the week - minus 20% of your earnings. You'll always get your original number of coins back.

5. We do not and will not reinvest your coins - there is no 'let it ride' option. If you want to stake your weekly earnings put them in your wallet and let them stake there.

6. Once we have sold all 2,400 coins we may or may not offer a 2nd shared node at the "then required collateral".

7. You will be given the address of the Masternode wallet so you can see how many coins are in the wallet at any time to calculate your % of earnings based on your % of ownership which will be disclosed to you at the time of purchase. If we are getting close to the required collateral, we MAY LIMIT your % of ownership.

8. You may only buy in once per week and your buy-in starts on the payout day. We will not accept mid-week buy-ins to keep the accounting simple.

9. Because we are nice people we are going to start the shared MN with and additional 1,000 coins  to get you some stake coins.

10. The number of coins you earn weekly is based on your % of ownership and is calculated as follows: (Wallet-Balance - (2,400 + 1,000) *  your % of ownership) -20% of the weekly profit.

11. We take 20% of all earnings - 10% for our server costs and 10% for the person who will run, monitor & manage the Masternode and do the weekly distributions.

We have reviewed about half a dozen Shared Master Nodes agreements and we think ours is better than all of them PLUS we throw in staking coins which none of them do and there's no change of us running off with your coins, because we don't need them. We just want to give more people the opportunity to share in the rise of CatoCoin.

Shared Masternode Announcement

Here at Catocoin we don't do anything by the  book.  Basically there is no way to offer a FAIR shared MN Service. It's impossible due to the fluctuating price of coins (In our case the constantly rising price of coins).   We've gotten at least a half a dozen proposals from Shared MN services and we have not liked a single one.

All of them want US to put THEM in business by giving them OUR coins - yea right... not gonna  happen!  Many of them take as much as 30% - that's nuts..20% is reasonable to us.


So we are starting our own shared MN service with some of the pre-mined coins which are currently sitting idle in Cold Storage

This is how it will work;

The Shared MN will be started with 2,400 coins - the current required collateral.

1.   You can buy-in up to  2,400 coins at the CURRENT ASKING PRICE ON  CB. You do not need to buy from CB, you can buy from us at the current asking price.

2.   Minimum buy-in price is $500 USD at the BTC Conversion rate set by Coinbase.com

3.  There will ONLY be weekly payouts - no  sooner (Saturday or Sunday we will decide).

4. You can ONLY Cash-out at the end of the week. No mid week Cash outs. A Cash out is  your % of earnings for the week plus your buy-in number of coins - minus 20%. Example:  if you bought in for  600 coins (25% of 2,400 collateral) you'll get 600 coins back plus your earnings for the week - minus 20% of your earnings. You'll always get your original number of coins back.

5. We do not and will not reinvest your coins - there is no 'let it ride' option. If you want to stake your weekly earnings put them in your wallet and let them stake there.

6. Once we have sold all 2,400 coins we may or may not offer a 2nd shared node at the "then required collateral".

7. You will be given the address of the Masternode wallet so you can see how many coins are in the wallet at any time to calculate your % of earnings based on your % of ownership which will be disclosed to you at the time of purchase. If we are getting close to the required collateral, we MAY LIMIT your % of ownership.

8. You may only buy in once per week and your buy-in starts on the payout day. We will not accept mid-week buy-ins to keep the accounting simple.

9. Because we are nice people we are going to start the shared MN with and additional 1,000 coins  to get you some stake coins.

Actually - that is on the roadmap and does not require people to even send buy BTC - They'll be able to use Paypal initially with the potential for Credit Cards in the future (we're not even speculating on when), but we will do the rest from the Portal we will be developing. There is a HUGE untapped market of investors who simply do not have the time or desire to figure out how to:

1. Buy bitcoin
2. Open an account on a coin exchange
3. Transfer BTC to Exchange
4. Buy the coins
5. withdrawal the coins
6. create the proper transaction size in their wallet
7. Deal with genkey's and output stuff
8. purchase a VPS, update it, installed wallets
9. blah, blah. blah - the list of obstacles goes on and on!

We are working with investment bankers in NYC that are bringing us together with a number of high net worth individuals who want to invest, but do not have the time or desire to go through those steps defined above. Considering 90-95% of MN coins are downright scams, everyone should do A LOT of research before investing in anything. This project seems nice, but there are several red flags for me:

1. Extremely high ROI, scheduled to increase further still. I mean, you can buy a MN for $5k and your reward is more than $6k in that same month? I am not saying it is a Ponzi, but it cannot increase forever. It sounds too good to be true. Anyone could just quit their jobs in 2 months from now: even if one cannot afford to pay $5k, why not take a loan from any bank and repay it in 1 month? Passive income in only 1 month sounds too easy.

2. Where is the product? You speak about innovations that will be open source, yet there is hardly a mention of said innovations. Is there a market for these innovations?

3. You said you are funded, but how much are these funds going to last? There are a lot of expenses and no products to sell or any other consistent income sources. How are your open source innovations going to make money short/medium term?

4. The team behind the coin: there are no pictures on the website, only first names (!). Every team member has social media links, but ALL are broken, they link you back to your site. This is a very serious issue if you ask me and concerns me as much as no. 1.

5. The Reddit link from your website leads to the search results for CatoCoin, which are nowhere to be found, there is nothing about CatoCoin on Reddit. Facebook page has like 5 posts. It is true Discord/Twitter seem to be more active.

I am not sure about how correct you are discussing, but the fact is most (or all) of crypto projects are open-sourced ones.
However, it doesn't mean that we all don't know where are original sources of breaking ideas, right?
We all know that bitcoin is the king, the start (almost like this) of crypto world.

As someone who has been (actively) observing the blockchain space since early 2016, it is disheartening to see how the basic principles Bitcoin was built upon fell to the wayside. Such a big news, after months of waiting. I will check it. I did not visit the Discord channel for so long, let me see what's going on in Catocoin Discord channel last two months. However, I suggest the team to leave basic and most important details of the coming fork, here.

On Saturday 6/8/19 the CatoCoin block chain will fork at block 495,217 and all running masternodes will be deactivated.
CatoCoin is switching to a new Tiered Masternode Platform with three tiers and increasing collateral for each Tiers as the TOTAL Number of masternodes increases (as we have in the past). Rewards also change as the number of Masternodes increase (see below chart).

Of significant note is that POS reward goes from 30% down to 5% with the new wallet and fork
Tier 1 : 25,000 Coins - 10% of the block reward
Tier 2 : 50,000 Coins - 25% of the block reward
Tier 3 : 100,000 Coins - 60% of the block reward

Our two exchanges : Crypto-bridge and Coinexchange.io have the new wallets installed and any coins mined under the old wallet after block 495,217 will be rejected by the exchanges, so you must update your wallet now.

You may not create new masternodes (with the new collateral requirements) until we have reached block 495,217 - any masternodes nodes created prior to block 495,217 (regardless of collateral used) will be nullified when block 495,217 is reached.
