let's be honest, these are all speculative, not 'investment' - and if you're looking at 10x-30x growth? Um, why would anyone share such a projection?

But for a more reasonable return, DOGE appears to have the greatest liquidity and has a huge community of advocates/supporters, plus lots of media attention. It has suffered from a recent downturn due to the admission that it has a 'soft' ceiling, but that doesn't impact the current utility of the coin.

DOGE has fluctuated all over the place, but is currently at around 160satoshi/DOGE - up from 130satoshi a couple of days ago, but well off its height of around 300satoshi.

You may see big profits in the alt-coins temporarily but they are all pretty much worthless in the long run.  It's a huge gamble.  If I had 15,000 I'd invest it mostly in Bitcoin and I'd put a bit in the promising long-term coins like Protoshares/Angelshares (To get Bitshares when it comes out), Emunie, Etherium, and maybe Mastercoin and Nxt -- I haven't done enough research on those two yet.

EDIT: You could also buy a few .bit domain names from me at https://dotbit.me.  I have some of the best domains listed there, such as donations.bit, payment.bit, microtransaction.bit, millibit.bit, etc. and my prices aren't absurd like the others.  Scroll through the first few pages in the Trade Domains tab.  These domains have the potential to be extremely valuable if Namecoin takes off.  It's also a good way to diversify.

Invest in HBN PoS coin, buy 15k worth of HBN and watch it grow.   Or another PoS coin. Crypto is not going to make you "richer" as you said you desire to be, only time will tell and it is a wait.

You should def look into Karmacoin. Only 4 days old, pushing against dbl digit satoshis once or twice the past 2 days. Great name, passionate community support, reminds me of Doge's early days. Surprisingly high hash rate for such a young coin.

Only speculating but we are seeing a downtrend similar to june last year after the big rise in april 2013, could be looking at $550 btc or lower beginning early march with all alts crashing as well.

This trend did the same in October of 2012 after a big rise in August

Honestly the only thought that comes to my mnd for a auctal investing would be Doge.

-Only community with a lot of people outside of the "cyrptocurrency gang". Diversity. Over 56,437 members on their subreddit in what? 2 months? Amaze.
-Block having coming up ASAP. Time to invest in now. Can only go up.
-Just had a crash along with bitcoin. Went from $ 0.0017 to $ 0.0010 and its back on the raise again at $ 0.0012 i can see it going up to .18 within the next two weeks.
Winter olympics. Doge has amazing publicty all over the place. Show me another alt coin here that has the same type of publicty as doge.

MtGox fiasco once again causing the price of BTC to be driven down. I bet it will continue to fall all weekend until Monday when Gox either folds or fixes the problems. Mtgox collapsing again could possibly cause lots of negative PR for BTC and force down the FIAT exchange cost for 1 BTC. I was seeing some graphs in another thread which showed a similar event where BTC in the past crashed after Gox was hacked. If it crashes the same % as it did in the past due to that mtgox news the following days could be = to about 1BTC = 100-280USD
