Hey Coinmarket,

I made my btc deposit by mistake after the hack and tried to withdraw on the 7th March when the site was available again, however I don't see it on your list. My personal btc should not
be part of the btc that was hacked...

Username: Viperbass

Deposited
Tue Mar 04 2014 14:47:31   1.861201   BTC      credited

Withdrawal without Tx (stuck)

Fri Mar 07 2014 15:18:25   1.861128   BTC   IP   confirmed

Like I say this would of been after the hack had taken place.

read some post before - he answered to me that ours coins just go to someone else,

If there is one person I trust on this website it's Viperbass.

Can anyone confirm there btc is on that list, mine isn't either.

Mine is on the list, but it is withdrew on 2014-03-07 (23:32:08) so it is a time ago. Some people think my account is created by coinmarket people, so believe what you want.

And have you received your btc?

Yes i did

Please don't focus only on BTC transactions. I've got still a stuck KDC withdrawal which is confirmed but has no TXID and never reached its target:

Here's me hoping that, because I was one of the very few "voices of reason" actually defending the site these past weeks, that I might get some sort of preferential treatment when it comes to my stuck BTC deposit....  Roll Eyes

That'd be a shitty way to do things and, personally, I would satisfy angriest first to avoid possible problems they can cause. Patient ones can wait for a bit longer. Sorry to rain on your parade, just an observation Wink

Hello CoinMarket.io, I made the mistake of depositing some coins with you yesterday before I knew about this mess.

If your website had been clearer, I would not have deposited anything, but you don't mention a hack, you don't warn anyone not to deposit coins, other than not using a pools auto-payout function, and your site certainly does not mention that you are planning on selling the exchange, something which you allude to in this thread. Finally, this catalogue of errors is topped off by your failure to provide some kind of proper support system, instead, you decide to link your support button link to this thread.

No-one would be interested in my coins, just under 5 million PENG, but I certainly want them back.
My username is BagMan, and my address is pSUmxwqaBMaSHz2QkPxzobCNUTggNbqaos

A reply would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Alright guys, put down the pitchforks everything seems to be in order told ya so! Smiley

Lets wait for everyone to get whats theres, then we need to compensate the host which everyone threatened. Coinmarket.io if you could get in contact with the host, and have him post a BTC address or something we can send our appologize to. People need to understand that behind these computer screens are REAL people with familys and other issues and commitments such as JOBS.

I have sent Viperbass the following PM , I think we need someone like him to put pressure on coinmarket to prove that they can even do ONE manual transfer of one person respected and trusted in the community.
This btc list they provided seems absolute bullshit to me and not one (reputable) person complaining on this ANN is even included.

Hi Viperbass,

It appears the community has a lot of respect and trust for you and after the disaster that is coinmarket.io we need someone like you to declare the exchange a scam at some point. The fact is that btc list they provided "only" users with very low activity are claiming they on it.

I personally don't have enough respect in the community to claim I received my bitcoins back even if I do.

Please can you review the whole coinmarket.io and declare it a scam or hack or something so we can get moving on with this.

Thanks
TL

Hey Tami and everyone else, thanks for your support... one of the reasons I haven't been too quick to label coinmarket.io yet is because I do believe in honesty and up until this point
I couldn't say for 100% sure on the situation, but I do admit the way this process has been handled is not how I would of done things.

My main priority would of been to pay users there bitcoins back and then work on the alt coin issues. Coinmarket have admitted that the site is now going to be closed regardless so the only thing they should be working on at this point is refunding the users.

Also I don't feel it's fair that bitcoin/alt coin deposits made after trade was taken down should be penalised because of the Karma Hacks.

The question that needs to be asked now is shouldn't the users involved with the false btc/karma trades have there accounts suspended and no btc returned. How could these hackers withdraw the
btc when no one else can if the admin of coinmarket picked up what was going on. This would of prevented even the hack accounts from withdrawing. Those users should not get there btc returned
and the administrator will have evidence of such activity to provide the police should those users take it further.

I will be speaking to a couple exchange owners later today to find out the process involved in manually sending coins back and manually updating the TXID on the website for the manual transfer.

I will feedback on there response and then give my own deadline to coinmarket for my personal btc and take it from there.

Thanks for looking into this Viperbass, let us know if you get your coins back please! Until then we should all consider this site a bitcoin scam.

Yeah -  because the squeaky wheels always get the fucking grease don't they.

Why would that be a shitty way to do it? Should people be rewarded for inciting violence and vigilante behaviour? Just an observation Wink

That's not a bad idea IF people get there btc back, people are asking for coinmarket.io to credit viperbass to prove there intentions-- Lets see if they can even get that right.

I don't have any coins in here but I wouldn't jump to happy endings just yet for the rest of you.

think about it, and sorry but i dont see why Viperbass should have privileges here - he lost btc like all of us

and meaby wait with this btc for host - we still dont know if he is involved or not

In the ideal world, where good is being rewarded with good, sure, it would be great, but this is bussiness and this is crypto. Most likely violent ones lost or thought that they lost A LOT of money and KIND OF have a right to be angry, since, lets be honest, CM handled this deal in the worst way possible to calm the community down. If they would've been responsible and responsive from the beginning of this mess, there would be close to none vigilantism, death/police threats and accusations.

Also, don't take this personally, but I would rename what you call "voice of reason" to "naive dellusion". I had and still have hopes to get my DGB back and I liked CM as a trading platform a lot, but the way all this went down did not leave a lot to "hook" trust and hope on.

You're easily pacified. "told you so"? I don't see that everything's "in order".  You may be correct that this is still not a scam, whether from the beginning or due to unfortunate circumstances.  However, have you seen manifested ANY proof of real "people" or "families"? Right now we have verbal ether, unproven assertions.  Either it is a scam or it was an unfortunate set of circumstances that befell a person or persons with the most horrible PR skills I've experienced in my life (I'm 47).  The level of opacity and skulking on the part of whoever is/was running the exchange is the cause of all of the anger, which, to be honest, is of a lot lower level than I believe is warranted.
The only people who would be hard to defend are those advocating non-judicial, private vengeance.  People who have been calling for investigation are well within their rights and I believe are the only ones who have given cm.io reason to communicate at all.

This has been an underlying problem I saw with the info on the site, seems like they are just doing a "update" to the system and "market paused", but little do people know its been that way for weeks now. So I am thinking this is more and more of a scam ....

If the owner of Coinmarket was really fixing problems, why not pause deposits as well? Since there were so many "issues", taking deposit while "fixing" withdrawal problems....hmmmm that sounds legit.
