Have you used bitcoin to make a payment for some products or service? As a payment method, what’s your experience like? How large was your transaction amount and how long did it take? Where do you see improvement opportunity? I have not tried this myself so I’m curious about those who did.

I use it every so often. One thing I find is that too many merchants use BitPay as a payment processor. It gives BitPay too much power to decide how they want to accept payments, like when they stopped providing addresses in their invoice and made people use the payment protocol supported by many less wallets.

i never tried to use bitcoin as mode of payment but i heard about it.Online stores can now accept bitcoins as payments and even on some restos, consider btc as payments. These may be convienient for everyone by using btc as payments because it was cashless and at the same time, you can have a 24/7 access into it.You can even travel anywhere without worries because all you have to do is open your smartphone and data connection and youre good to go!

I have, and to be honest it really depends on the vendor and their payment processor on what the experience is like. I've purchased things from general furniture to hotel rooms and computer equipment with BTC. The experience has varied like I've said before depending upon the processor. In general it doesn't take more than 10-15 mins for completion (the time a block is created for the first confirmation). Other than that the ease of use has been pretty good. I just like the ability to pay without a third party being able to decline the transaction for whatever reason.

Yes, I did. Aside from using btc for investment, I used bitcoin as a payment for my existing loan. I also paid my bill using bitcoin. Fast and secure.

Nowadays, there are many shops accepting payment for bitcoin cards. They are very convenient because your bitcoin wallet can be used to pay for the things you need to buy as well as you need to pay them.

That’s good to hear. I was hoping to see some finance companies to accept crypto as payment. Do you mind sharing the name of your loan company and the bill company? I would like to research how they process the bitcoin payment.

I am yet to get the opportunity to pay for goods and services with bitcoin. Bitcoin is yet to be generally accepted as a payment medium, so its very rare to see a merchant who accepts it.
I hope to see such opportunities in the future.

bitcoin payment should be great, unfortunately some countries have not supported it, including my country. of course with the bitcoin as a means of payment will facilitate every transaction compared to fiat money, but I still look forward and maybe one day my country will support btc as payment.

I've never used bitcoin as a payment node but ethereum to pay processing fee in Coinlist for Dfinity airdrop. There were many new ICOs providing bitcoin as payment already like Crypterium and others with card using their native token. There will be more payment processors like this when Bitcoin can be accepted more widely.

There is no company in my country which accepts any cryptocurrency as payement of any kind let alone Bitcoin. Until govt supports crypto, there would be no company which will start taking Bitcoin/crypto currency as payment.

Rarely im using that one to make payments. I mean I have done that limited to my friend sand families to transfer some bucks but that has been also very rare.
Seriously speaking, I have used bitcoin for storing my assets and nothing else. I am always looking at the bitcoin as way of earning money. What I learnt form he forum is that when you hold your bitcoin then they grow someday, you get profits over it and you invest back into it. Thats the way I am looking at the bitcoin for now. Unfortunately, BTC has to be used as currency but its not being developed that way, thats what I feel.

Interesting to get experience on payment using Bitcoin, I just can't imagine about the volatility of this bitcoin if buy a goods or stuff. I think the price of stuff is still using FIAT as the reference then Bitcoin to follow that FIAT price with suitable exchange.

I used bitcoin as a means of payment for online transactions and run normally despite longer transaction confirmation times. therefore I think bitcoin cannot be used as a means of payment for an offline transaction or direct transaction through a store or merchant, due to longtime confirmation constraints.

I have used it as a payment for digital goods, games using BitPay and it was a smooth experience. The fees werent high, my transactions always get confirmed in 15 minutes max. Bitcoin did have some moments with high fees and everything, but now jt's smooth and don't be scared to pay something with Bitcoin.

I bought an iPhone X via Bitcoin  Grin I can say that my experience was seamless. Transaction amount was around $1500. And the operation was confirmed within minutes. What were the advantages of Bitcoin? Well, cliche but low fees, availability, fast transaction etc. Bitcoin and such coins are always step ahead of fiat.
