There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

You will get a very opinionated answer as you question is also vague. Best Bitcoin Wallet in terms of what? Security or Accessibility? But even if you specify on what its best at you will have different answers. My advice is if people are mentioning wallets apps and hardware wallets in your thread do the liberty of researching it in your own, I always look for certain wallet apps and you will see various reddit pages for their respective walllets and Redditors will give you an honest feedback about the certain wallet if it is any good for you.

Everyone has to decide this by himself. I prefer to use light clients, especially electrum. It's easy to use, you can sign offline transactions and you need only to backup your seed.

Cryptocompare has a good comparison overview.

Hello hack4love,

It really depends on the features you are looking for in a wallet but usually we recommend our customers to use a hardware wallet in combination with a community-backed software wallet. In this case that would be the Ledger or Trezor in combination with an Electrum wallet.

The official website for Trezor can be found here.
The official website to buy a Ledger can be found here.
The Electrum software wallet can be downloaded here.

If your BTC investment isn't high enough to justify the buying of a hardware wallet we recommend still sticking to the official Electrum or BTC core wallet.

With kind regards,
The Anycoin Direct team

No. Any wallet that you don’t control the private keys to could never be considered best.

There's no assurance that coinbase will ever protect your funds if ever they will be hacked.

You may have the 2FA protection before logging in / cashing out but once there were incidents like hacking, you can't lean on that security. It only protects you from someone logging in and taking out your funds through your account but if the hackers got in through the exchange's back panel that security is weak.

What do you mean? Do you think hardware wallet is not safe or what?

Hardware wallet is safer compared to the software-based wallet 'cause your private key would never get exposed.

If you're looking to only store bitcoin, you can go with a single currency wallet like BTC Core...the benefit of this type would be that they focus on the one coin and keep the software up to date.
Otherwise, you can go with something that is known to be secure like Trezor or Ledger Nano which can hold several currencies, but this is an option that's better suited if you want to hold funds long term.
We have a pretty extensive guide on wallets that might be useful to you:

Bit.ly/WalletGuide

Hope this helps!

So many different options, I found that it's best to have a wallet in the browser for example MetaMask is very suitable for its application

If you are just starting with crypto, I suggest either Jaxx, or Exodus, or Blockchain.com
