depending on what you want to buy but I can tell you bitcoin is getting more recognised as payment processors day by day. I have also use bitcoin to pay for domain services before and recently I bought a motoralla phone from neweggs using bitcoin. this go along way to tell you that almost any service can be purchase this days using cryptocurrency. Just search for a particular ecommerce that accept crypto for your targeted services. good luck

I can not use bitcoin as a payment medium in my country. I can only use bitcoin on the deals and to use the shopping cart I will change bitcoin into fiat money. I feel unhappy about that.

I think I'm lucky enough to live in a country that has an awesome platform to pay your bill using crypto currencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash and Ripple, actually, it's a combination of a centralized exchange that converts our crypto currencies to fiat and a payment medium that you can pay your bills whether its an internet or an electric bill and any kind of basic bills using your crypto currencies.
Here take a look at this restaurant/coffee shop in Switzerland.

This video is about the lightning network but I just wanted to show you how cool this restaurant/coffee shop is, and you can actually buy food using your Bitcoin! and it looks pretty awesome. Grin

There are very selective countries where you can use bitcoin as a way of payment. In my country, we cannot use bitcoin to make payments. I think it will take some more time to make this vision into reality in our country when our government understand the importance of the cryptocurrency.

i am new here and i came to ask fellow users about how practical bitcoin as payment method is? i paid for domain on namecheap via bitpay and it was okishh experience. I mean how much i can use bitcoin to pay online for shopping, services and goods?
Bitcoin payment methods can be assumed as much practical and the most digital. The payment processes go much smoother with bitcoins and the onky thing we need to wait for is the network confirmations. Bitpay has a quick payment option too where we do not actually need to wait for the block transactions.

Also coming to namecheap, they are really doing great by adding bitpay as one of their payment gateway for bitcoins and bitcoin cash transactions. That really makes purchasing the domain/hosting/etc from there without any great issue.

You can also try using bitcoins at a number of other sites. The number of platforms accepting bitcoins as a mean of payment are increasing rapidly so you can find any of the trusted store easily.

Actually, bitcoin is a popular payment currency in the dark web since few years later. It need to be adopted by peoples outside that too.
So, we can create more public awareness about bitcoin and crypto if we use it as a payment system.
If you asked how much btc you need to pay online services and goods, that will depends on bitcoin value against fiat currency.

Bitcoin is an digital currency and because of this it is mainly used over Internet for various purposes and for various projects. Bitcoin provide its user an safe, secure and fast transaction facility and bitcoin also charge less transaction fee too and because of this many people like to use it. And this thing make it popular among people and many online retailers and small business and shopping sites take advantage of this. They also provide bitcoin as a payment method to their user. Many international site also accepted bitcoin and this happens because bitcoin untroubled international transaction facility.

I really like using bitcoin as payment service. Like it is very easy to do all you have to do is have a internet connection then if you want to pay your bills like electricity and loads then just convert most of your bitcoin to the real currency then there you go you already paid your bills online.

in many counties there is no such opportunity for using bitcoin as a payment service and people must use only fiat money.

Here in my country, store or even restaurant don't accept bitcoin as a payment.
You always need to convert it in fiat in order for you to spend it in my country.

Yes, i also think that Bitcoin should be used in the frontline platform, otherwise, it will be considered as a dark side currency in the future.

It is very much practical but first we need to sort out a lot of issues undermining this possibility. I'm a practical and more logical person and I have these few questions. What is the solution to the high volatility rate of Bitcoin in 2018? Will there be a policy to curb the activities of whales in the system? What policies does the Bitcoin platform operate on? Will there be a general governing body for Bitcoin/cryptocurrecny? these are some of the questions that I feel that if any step will be taking to use bitcoin for payment, the answers of these questions should be provided.

I don't think there is presently any merchant accepting bitcoin in my country. So what I do most times is to convert my bitcoin to fiat currency first and thereafter spend it for goods and services. I am happy to see that some projects are already dedicated to seeing that this is possible.

You can't do anything about whales or volatility. Volatility is probably always going to be a part of bitcoin given it's nature. Bitcoin is built on limited supply that gets even more limited as time goes on, so supply and demand comes into effect. I think the best thing we can hope for is some stability eventually, or maybe price increases and decreases happen at a slower rate. Ideally, I personally think bitcoin would be better if it just gained slow growth over time rather than having rapid spikes as it just leads to too much excitement and fomo, and then it's only a matter of time until the inevitable crash will come and people start panicking which just adds to the drop.

Bitcoin is very convenient, the only thing that make it suck is when the network is clogged and the miner fee is too high.

You can pay for your services and goods with any merchant that accepts bitcoin as a payment option. More merchants are even now accepting bitcoin as an option for payments. There is no dreaming about it  because it is real and this is a good news to all crypto family members. Bitcoin is expected to attract more merchants in the near future as bitcoin is aiming to be the preferred online payment option. So when next your making payment online check out the option for bitcoin and make use of it.

I think bitcoin has become a part of valuable assets, that's why bitcoin tends to be retained rather than bought on a product or item. and only a few online stores accept bitcoin as a means of payment and even with limited products. maybe we still need at least a decade more.

There are some sites that accept Bitcoin
The number is now increasing
As for the local sites and shops it depends on the legal Bitcoin mode there.

It depends if that place bitcoin was being legalized by their government and as what you have said some countries are adopting the same way and make bitcoin as legal payment method.
