it was down for about 1 hour. and now they are turning on DDoS protection, which sadly also block API requests.

someone is trying manipulating market now by spamming malleability attack and ddos-ing bitcoin services. beware...

Not quite sure why hackers are so into hacking bitcoin sites/exchanges.  I mean sure there is money there, but there is money at a lot of financial places.  I would have hoped that they supported the cause and found other targets rather than bitcoin related services  Huh

Everyday tens - hundreds of non bitcoin related services get hacked. Do not worry about that too much.

This is not good !! I use the API a lot and now it doesn't work because of cloudflare.

Did blockchain forgot to take the API off cloudflare??

Please fix!!!

I use API a lot too for processing payments. What is CloudFlare and does anyone have any idea when the API might work?

Not quite sure why hackers are so into hacking bitcoin sites/exchanges.  I mean sure there is money there, but there is money at a lot of financial places.  I would have hoped that they supported the cause and found other targets rather than bitcoin related services  Huh
Non-bitcoin financial institutions can seek legal ways to defend themselves and get their money back, which is probably why they don't attack them.

blockchain.info api is unreliable for serious businesses. a lot of http callback notification were not sent. for past 30 days alone it has been down at least 2 times. and everytime they are down, every service relied on their api will be screwed up.

i eventually build my own bitcoin server to handle my transactions. thanks  for last downtime it's forcing me building my own server Tongue

If you are relying on it for business and they are providing it for free, why don't you ask them if they have a private version available at a cost...

Honestly, if you're relying on someone else then you're already going down hill.

Small application/not many sales? Bitcoind.
Large application/lots of sales per second? Custom developed bitcoin-interfaced program that can actually handle and raise events within your code, unlike bitcoind. Will take awhile to actually implement stuff correctly (And, believe me, you'll want to test it like no tomorrow when dealing with money), but, I think the majority of us can agree that for large scale operations, nothing beats specifically tailored software.

Please ask for a signed message from my on-site Bitcoin address (Check my profile) before doing any offsite trades with me.
