I highly doubt it happened, because bitcoin is however the world's first crypto so I do not think anyone will be able to compete in spite of any coin like eth though.

I dont see this will happen even in the next 5 years my friend. Bitcoin will remain the number coin as per coinmarketcap and the trading volume from every markets.

Ethereum won't surprass Bitcoin because it is worse when it comes to scaling. Currently, the whole transaction history of Ethereum is way bigger than Bitcoin's which causes a lot of problems. People don't synchronize their nodes fully which means that Ethereum network might become less secure over time. Bitcoin will continue to be number one thanks to Lightning Network.

I do not think so. Indeed Bitcoin will only have 21 million coins. While ETH is unlimited. But by 2019, ETH can not yet pass the BTC. BTC will still be the best coin. BTC will survive as a mother coin for at least the next 20 years.  |

there is a much better chance that ETH will die in 2019 and disappear because a serious bug will be found in it that the hackers can take all the ETH in your wallet. or maybe another disaster like DAO happens and they try rolling back and fail. that is what happens to shitcoins every year.

It will never happen i am pretty sure. Bitcoin will remain as top rank in crypto world,ethereum has not yet capability to overcome the bitcoin,it will also remain as a secondary of the bitcoin,while keeping both away distance to each other.

I believe the same thing. ETH's issue with scalability resides because of its current node network which limits it to ~ 15 transactions/ sec, not fast enough to maintain large scale users. One solution to this is the same concept as the Lightening Network used by BTC but "off-chain" transactions. |

I think bitcoin is still the most famous crypto coin during that time. Though etherium is also so famous but I just feel bitcoin is still the coin supported by many. |

No, it wont. If you will take a look the market now between ETH and BTC, it seems impossible. We are almost on the 2nd half of the year and there's no indication that ETH could possibly pass BTC in 2019.

You are asking a wrong question we all know that bitcoin is number one cryptocurrency and no other altcoin cross bitcoin. You can ask here will ETH be the number 1 currency after bitcoin then it makes more sense, and answer to this question is YES Ethereum will rule over all altcoins. |

Which will never get over head and will never attract people and thats why bitcoin will be at the top always.  If you study this topic broadly then you will understand that why bitcoin is always tycoon here. The coin is not just getting invested because it has some great features (everyone knows it has none) but it is getting invested because of its high profitability ratio and security of investment that it always give us. Nothing charming about it but due to its high popularity it will never walk down the road for any other shitcoin. |

NOt really, Ether is reducing in price at the same time Bitcoin is also falling. They are directly correlated, hence I don't think Ether will ever bypass BTC

Nope it wont happen because ETH is an alternative coin for bitcoin so an alternative works like a shadow and a shadow could never beat the owner of that shadow. Anyway if ethereum will create its block chain that will literally could not be decrypted by anybody then probably it could stand on its own feet. Ethereum is only a platform unlike bitcoin that literally a digital currency a crypto currency where the data is being encrypted and will be difficult to decrypt.

Just compare the current price and you will be the judge if ETH has a change to dethrone Bitcoin is about a year. There have been attempts though, but the so called Flippening didn't happen so I doubt that it can do it next year or even in the next 5 years. Bitcoin has already a lot of lead way, if you think that this is a competition. So I advise everyone to forgot about this idea not just ETH that Bitcoin can really be kick out at the number one position. |
