Hi

We are a video production company  based in Mumbai, India and currently use machines which are powered by Intel i7 processors, having 16 GB RAM, SSD HDD and a clock speed of about 3.4 GHz. So my question is that are these machines powerful enough to do bit coin mining. I was just thinking about this as at night the machines are idel. Would appreciate any ideas and comments.

No. Only ASIC mining is powerful enough for Bitcoin mining.

What you can do is try mining altcoins, but it won't be that profitable if you need to pay your energy bills. If interested, you can simulate your possible earnings here: https://www.nicehash.com/profitability-calculator
