There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

On the first page I read that Timechain will allow the users to circumvent exchanges and deal crypto directly without the need to use exchanges but directly from the wallet - but won't this require some additional security and protocols?

More and more. But I think they would bring in more people if they presented some strong video material that can kinda show what their idea is about. People respond better to video material than to writing.

I definitely think they should have more PR material for people to sink their teeth into. Maybe some AMA even...

Is there any way those tokens can be reused for something else and not burned?

Well they can and some projects have done it that way but it usually brings concern from the community as those tokens could be used in certain ways that the community disapproves of.

In cases when they decide to reuse the tokens, they are often given to investors as bonuses, but since those are free people often look down on them and sell for a lower price. This is a possible instability in the market and can cause issues for the project.

Sometimes they keep them and sell them in later stages to invest in development or something else that project needs.

Hopefully team has thought about that , since I don't trust smartphones yet.Would be nice if someone from the could say a bit more on this issue.

Direct trading is the future but there are a lot of questions to be answered before that happens. The security issue is the big one at the moment. And I don't see exchanges not fighting back so it will be a hard one to carry out.

So it is not safe to keep crypto on your smartphone? What is the safest wallet?

Safest way would be to just get Ledger.
