I haven't heard anything of that sort about bitcoin. Bitcoin in itself is very safe perhaps it's the wallet which may pose you to threat if care isn't taken because of hackers and so on. Protect your wallet with private key and a hardware wallet.

Bitcoin is well known for its safety. The biggest dangers are mainly hacker attacks on third party services, through which one accesses his bitcoins. These are above all the various crypto exchanges on which the users have created accounts or the bitcoins stored locally in wallets.

Basically, either the exchange itself is directly attacked, so that data can be stolen there. The biggest known incident was the hacker attack on Mt.Gox about 4 years ago, when a huge hack of Bitcoins was looted. This was also the reason for the decrease of Bitcoins 2014.

Today, the exchanges have improved to prevent such occurrences, because it can come to hacks and the trade is severely restricted or even stopped completely. This often leads to strong price fluctuations, mainly caused by so-called panic sells.

An equally large attack surface offer individual mistakes that can easily be prevented. Individual mistakes are the responsibility of individual users and are often:
- insufficiently secured user accounts due to weak passwords
- Login on a phishing site
- send the private keys to a scammer

If a stranger has once gained access to your own accounts, he can quickly transfer the entire balance to another wallet and due to the anonymity, it is no longer clearly comprehensible. For such a kind of total loss helps therefore only a careful handling with your personal user data.

But as long as you follow to the usual security rules and pay attention to secure passwords, which you should also change from time to time and do not use the same password on many other pages, an accident normally cannot happen.
The high demand and high competition between exchanges has also contributed to the improvement of safety standards.

How make you sure to safe your Bitcoins?

I think you can invest in bitcoin at this time but you should divide the capital to invest in batches and only short-term investment. You can see that the market is bearish in the long run so bitcoin prices will probably continue to fall sharply at any time. So you have to plan for specific deprivation when dealing to reduce the risk.

I think bitcoin is pretty safe. Because all this time I have never lost the bitcoin I have on my wallet. And my wallet is a blockchain wallet. I am always careful every time I use it. I am currently using a ledger wallet. And I think it's guaranteed security.

Bitcoin is safe when you know your limit in using it, Its up to people how they care and use their bitcoin if they careless or carefully. Bitcoin is safe in online wallet because that is tested of many people and as long your private keys are safe your bitcoin also is safe.

The safest bitcoin is as endangered as everything in the crypto platform is likely to contain every step, but the bitcoin team works indefinitely and the bitcoin is currently maximized.

I agree with you. All the time that I've used bitcoin I don't encounter any lost about my account and wallet even though I'm using a online wallet. But I think it would be great if you will try to be careful also so that you will not doubt about your own account. So my stand is bitcoin is safe.

Wallets, are encrypted and trusted, there are hackings on it but those happen only if the users himself shows some  weakness by entering it inot the phishing websites or technological errors. Safety and security depends on the user itself, if the user have enough knowledge than the hack would be much more hard and maybe impossible.

I think that Bitcoin is a really safe currency, much safer than fiat. It can't be stolen as easy as fiat can, hackers still have a hard time trying to hack into wallets, the main method is phishing and scamming, but that would be your fault if you don't take precautions. There are safety measures and if you use them, you wont have any problem with losing your Bitcoins.

Asking about safety of the bitcoin is like asking about the safety of your house or your car. You yourself are responsible for your safety. When your bitcoins are stolen, its your own fault. Because you have not followed safety tips.

It's not enough. there are a lot of spy programs and you will not even know how to lose your private key. I recommend only TREZOR.

The bitcoin is very safe but the question is how secure or safe your bitcoin wallet! To secure my bitcoin wallet, I am using google 2FA Verification, Plus SMS Verification, with recovery phrase code. I think My online wallet is secure enough. I am using Coinbase as a wallet about 4 years running but I never faced any hack or something like that. But the best thing is, Use hardware wallet. So, I am planning to buy a hardware wallet very soon. Use Hardware wallet regularly and write your private key and phrase key in a paper and keep that safe and secure.

if you clearly follow simple security rules, do not get yourself into your wallet, do not enter your passwords on third-party sites, and do not go to suspicious sites !! and everything with your wallet will be in order !!

it is also depends on the user if it is careless or slovenly about their information and security well that user need to orient about safety of bitcoin wallet, and other stuff also by the way thanks for sharing your tips.

Bitcoin is safe, it has advance technology, the security feature are in place, it is only the wallet which is very likely to be hacked, if the password is misplaced by the owner then it is a big lost for such individual.. It is the Responsibility of Bitcoin investors to have well secured place where they keep safe all information about the Wallet, or even about Bitcoin investment.

I think for every valuable asset always needs a security jamunan as well as your bitcoin that is hard-earned.The security of bitcoin has been a major concern for many of us.People are always worried that their coins may not be exposed to a hacker's risk or stolen by someone. So,it is always better to use some of the leading wallets to store your coins. It is also advisable not to share your personal key information with anyone,

All of you have mentioned is noteworthy and shall be taken care of by everyone. Not everyone adopt proper safety measures in the bitcoin community that is why people tend to loose their holdings. These safety measures should be adopted irrespective of howsoever secure your wallet is or howsoever negligible the amount of your holding. But the problem is with the hackers. WHat can be done in case your account is being hacked or anything of that sort?!?
I don't know if there could be anything to be done if the account is hacked. I'm curious if there are some measures, maybe someone knows a trick. Exchanges have improved a lot and things like cold wallet storage are the right way, but it's still a third party wallet.
I think it's only possible to prevent hacks as good as possible, the best thing is to prevent mistakes by ourself, it's the most dangerous one. By using security measures like 2fa, a strong password and check not to login at a phishing site we can improve it in a good way.
After all I would recommend not to store high values at exchange wallets because your funds are "on the exchange" because you don't own the private key of your address...

Bitcoin is indeed safe and it is like the most of the cryptocurrencies in the market, it is all about having a secured process of keeping or saving our back up like passwords and password phrases or back up phrase to recover our wallet. One thing to remember is do not keep your cryptocurrencies in exchanges if you don't want to get screwed.
