I want to mine some pre-exchange coins, but promising ones are all at pretty high hashrates. I see a few at low hash, but I think there's no free lunch, must be some reasons behind it.
Any recommendations which is the best coin to mine now?

I've been putting some hashes towards Klondikecoin, Karmacoin and Potcoin, but I feel that most pre-exchange coins (I class any coin not on Cryptsy as pre-exchange) are a big gamble... Dogecoin has been the most consistent for me in recent times but it's profitability is being challenged by the new wave of coins recently released.

Vertcoin, it's a new asic resistant coin with long term potential to be a haven for GPU miners when scrypt asics are released this year.

I like it, but diff is way too high... Yes I agree, so many coins created daily, half may not be able to go to exchanges Topcoin, block reward halves every two days. Better get some now.
good one, but too bad it already halved twice? missed the boat now. i would say karmacoin.

Saturncoin - so many people mining at the moment, it's definitely going to have a good presence.
