Hopefully they are transferring it into that huge cold storage underground nuclear bunker never to be seen for the next ten years. I doubt they are for sale, market is too low for that

Probably an OTC seller if I had to guess. Or some kind of venture capital being shifted to a company they invested in. I imagine those are the most likely, but it could be illegal purposes I suppose. Wasn't his the transaction that was processed with $0.04? Saw this on reddit and hopefully people and exchanges start realizing that fees are very low Grin

Is not it very risky to keep that amount of money in bitcoins? If the market falls, then there will be big losses.

BTC is dominated by many big investors, whale sharks, large bitcoins can create problems for the market. When large amounts of fiat currency are transferred through bitcoin, it becomes suspicious for other bitcoin holders.

Why do you think is he taking the big risk for transferring such huge amount in btc? Its the same as transferring a small amount like 0.0005 btc to another wallet as long as you are sending to correct address then its totally safe and secured btw Im sure its not owned by a single person only maybe a company who is using bitcoin for transactions is the owner of that very huge amount of money.

Yesterday someone really taken big risk and trasfered his money to other wallet dont know who can do it or its legal money transfer or not
here is its blockchain track link https://www.blockchain.com/en/btc/address/12YygZpCEC8VED2oSMQdWCq5xBnHo9ts1Z

cause its not a small amount its 298 M $ transferred almost

what u think its legal transaction money used for legal use or some fishy thing !
I don't understand, why are you saying that that person took a big risk? If you do things properly there are no risk, of course you have to be very careful, but who wouldn't be with 300 millions in your hands?

Yeah, i red about this in several news articles.
The interesting thing is how little it costto move around such vast amount of wealth. It made me thin khow hard it would be to move around such huge sums in regular banking system. i think it would be pretty difficult. What do you think?

Also why do you guys are convinced that this is big company of some sorts, it could easily be a early investor..

Mate, that amount is about 7.6% of today volume of BTC referring to CMC (636,177 BTC). But compared to BTC market Cap amount 17,129,200 BTC, it is only 0.283%. I think the direct effect will not be significant, but indirect effect to be watched such as psychological effect of traders and investors of FUD created by certain parties for their quick benefits. This is the dangerous thing.

the result will be two one positive, the other negative. but while we are again entering the bullish trend you can expect that it is just put on the new purse.

Maybe it's a company that holds many bitcoin. Yes, we cannot know the purpose of this one, why they transferred this huge amount of bitcoin to another wallet, but for sure, there is a good purpose of that money or I don't know. We cannot determine who is the perdon behind this.

If you properly check the received transactions then you can see that someone is going to play with the market as no one know that whether it is  exchange transfer or another wallet but something big is  waiting.

Who knows, but let's not forget that many who participated within the humble beginnings of Bitcoin, may well indeed be millionaires today. Let's say for arguments sake, you mined 50,000 Bitcoins, around the time when they were worth next to nothing. Even by today's current market price, you'd still be a wealthy individual.
What about the guy who spent 100,000 Bitcoins on those pizzas? Imagine if he kept those coins? It really doesn't
seem like so much money depending on your perspective view.

It's a whale. It won't take a direct impact to the market i guess or maybe a hales just entered the market. Whales are conquered the market. We cannot do much about it. They have large amount of Bitcoins in their pockets which create huge impact to market if they wanted to. Beware of this bull trend tho. It could be just a bull trap. I could be wrong but still be careful about buying. This is whale. Once it started to sell this huge amount. It's a sudden drop. Whales are just playing the market and small players.

Just have a hope that this whale won't sell its Bitcoins. So small players like us won't suffered from it. I hope we recover soon. That amount we see is huge amount and can be a good sign for bull market.

when the whales sell their bitcoins at a low price, the fish will quickly collect their feed. the whales will not play lower, they will blow with the sale to the market again when the market reaches its peak and make sales again to fill the stocks below.

This is just showing that there are whales existing in bitcoin. They can just dump their btc and make the market dropping more.
I think it is not illegal, this is just a huge amounts in single transaction. I wonder when they bought that amount of bitcoin.
