In this space anything can happen, we have see an ATH of $20,000 and I nervously bought and even enjoyed the party, but now the giant is sleeping and keeps going into deeper sleep. But if it does go below $5,000, it is good for as I will buy more for I know when bigger fund flows into the space, it will pump greatly.

We have to create a positive atmosphere in order not fear about the Bitcoin price because we know we are very happy when Bitcoin price reached to more than $19k. Of course, when the price decreases we feel bad about it but we have wait until Bitcoin price comes back to its original value of $19k.

A lot of people are trying to create a positive atmosphere by making bullish predictions. But, when those predictions aren't founded on anything, and when they don't come true, that creates an even more negative atmosphere.

I'm not saying that you're making these predictions. This is a more general comment about the forum.

Going back to the original question, yes it's entirely possible that the price of bitcoin can go below $5000. The question is: is this likely or not?

Given that we're at $5900 at the moment, $5000 is only a 15% drop. We've seen drops of that magnitude in one day. However, for all we know BTC has bottomed out and now we'll have a sustained bull run.

Yes it can be.From long time bitcoins price is going down and down.from last eight to ten  months bitcoins price is becoming less.an people yoday are using various currencies and in popular coin people are using crypto currencies like litcoun,etherium. and using of bitcoin is discreasing some how and because every day  a lot of currencies are launching and peoples are attracted with some of them so bitcoin uses is becoming less than before and bitcoins price is falling down.And I think if it will continue like that then it can be happend that  bitcoin price will go below five thousand dollar.

bitcoin have potential to go below $5,000 but this will only happen if there are too many become panic to see the price is down. but as long as we can hold and not sell in a big amount, I think the price will stay at $5,000 and will try to increase higher. this year bitcoin might have a chance to go down especially if there is much bad news that release just to makes people become worried and afraid to invest their money in bitcoin. but don't be afraid because bitcoin price will increase in the future.

So sorry you have been buying the dips since $12k but at least if you are doing it with the right ratio, you should still be fine. The thing is the possibility of bitcoin really going below $5k is still there but since you have taken it up as a strategy to keep buying the dips, I would say this time around you chill to see how the trend is going to be playing out and wait for this possibility to happen before even getting in at all.

Hopefully, you may get to see $4k to buy if you are lucky and if we do not end up seeing a huge increase in volume and value from here.

I don't know. Everything could happen in btc just like what others always saying but different in chances. Especially btc is good at doing unexpected things. Look others thought that price will fall continuesly under $5k but then it bounce to $6500, unpredictable.

See we are going through a very critical period and we cant say what will happen next moment.But if any bad news will come then it will fuel the fire and prices may go down below $5000 also.This time the prices have been down for a longer period due to negativity and price manipulations.Moreover exchanges are been hacked which is adding to dips.But beleive me btc has also shown earlier what it is capable of and this time also it will survive and boost with greater thurst.So have patience and hodl your coins for a longer period without getting panic.

Here goes the common mistakes of impatient investors.
Bitcoin's price is unpredictable, the speculation is even lower than $5k. This is the nature of cryptocurrency, it is very volatile, the range of price movement is unlimited. If I were you, I wont start selling anything specially bitcoin. It will only make your loss bigger.

Most of the people or whales are waiting for the price to go down deeper and that is the reason why cryptocurrencies right now is dumping, but still it will not decrease up to $5k dollars because whales are going to start investing a huge amount.

Of course it can go under 5000$, bitcoin is volatile and everything is possible. But the key is not to panic without reason and it's important to watch the market to see how the situation is developing.
Although at the moment we are in the period when the price is more dumping than rising that doesn't mean the situation will stay like this forever. Bitcoin will rise again and now I don't see the danger to go under 5000$.
