This news is old. I read that someone attached the links or the photos themselves with child pornography and sent through the blockchain. I'm not an expert and I don't know if it's possible. But I am sure that these fakes are distributed by journalists in order to reduce the popularity of bitcoin. They're not gonna make it.

There is no relation between the mining process in blockchain technology and child porn. The person that publish this news need to be school about blockchain. The reason this person will go free without been sue to court is because blockchain is not a corporate organization.

This is an angle in which authorities could find an excuse to make the entire blockchain illegal, this has been considered before as an attack vector or at least a social attack because nobody wants to be involved in such degeneracy.

Unfortunately, there are trolls out there that will keep doing this. Back in the day when transaction fees were extremely cheap, there were trolls out there sending child porn messages embedded in the transaction to public addresses, so when someone looks up your public address they would see that crap. There is nothing we can do about it, other than the fees going high enough to avoid that sort of spam, and it seems it worked because I have not seen too much of that again.

Blockchain and then you leak the story to these dumb journalists.  You can dump those links onto any platform where text

is used, so it is unstoppable. The authorities can then follow those links and get to the source and remove it.  If you want

to do these things, then Bitcoin should not be your method to do this. They post links to this rubbish all over the internet on

I think I will share in your position as well because I can't believe a journalist who called himself a professional could write an article with so much sentiments, the editor and the entire team of a reputable platform could just go ahead and publish such ridiculous claim and the beginning of the article made it obvious the type message they are trying to pass across. This is an outright shitty journalism that is away from being open minded.

I think the attack has now moved to come from the angle of "researches" because for the couple of weeks now, I have read several researches by different groups of people publishing theirs and you begin to wonder whether they have no areas of research to investigate again than focusing on the negative side of the blockchain backed by ridiculous claim.
