Everyone have their own opinion. There is different type of wallet, But I am using Coinbase wallet. Coinbase is a largest btc broker cum wallet, it is best place to store bitcoins in online. As of now they are support to exchange  Bitcoin, eth, bitcoin cash, lite coin. And also we can exchange cash by using coin base in 30 and above countries. they are looking forward to add ripple.

There are differing opinions but the two wallets mentioned above have had their share of security issues recently, not to mention 'coinbase' is not a wallet. Coinbase is an exchange platform where you can purchase/sell coins and leave them for trading purposes--but you do not have true possession of them, as you do not have possession of your private keys. The most secure wallets are hardware wallets--such as ledger nano-s or the trezor. Seeing as you are a newbie, perhaps a hardware wallet is not for you just yet. In that case, a software wallet such as electrum, coinomi or samourai are worthy options. You can buy a hardware wallet like Ledger Nano S or Trezor because hardware wallets are best and safe wallets in the crypto world. You can store your coins or tokens in hardware wallets very safely.

You can use hardwallet like nano ledger this is the best storage against fraud,malware, and hacking i suggest you to this because those wallet like, MEW,IMTOKEN,METAMASK they have also a malware thats why i cannot recommend this type of wallet if you have a very large funds you can use hard wallet don't use online wallet.

for me the best and simplest wallet is myetherwallet. Everything is accessible and understandable, together with it I apply the site ethplorer.io to track transfers to my MEW. But this is my opinion, I advise you to try every purse that is here to advise and understand for yourself which is better.

Cold Wallets are the safest wallets.
Cold means that it is not connected to the internet.

Hot Wallets are always conncted to the internet like desktop wallets.
Mobile wallets are an exception because they are sandboxed and can't effected by malware

Safe Storing Methods:
* Paper Wallets (walletgenerator.net)
* Hardware Wallets (Ledger, Trezor)
* MultiSig Wallets where one private is stored on a cold wallet

Unsafe Storing Methods:
* Desktop Wallets (Bitcoin Core, Electrum, Jaxx, Exodus)

Though there are good reviews I still insist to trust them with bigger sums of ETH. It's a chrome/browser extension so still I'll take caution of it.

I'd rather trust a hardware wallet if we are talking about more ethereum to store.
