Been watching this thread and all...interesting ...to say the least....

I have NO DOUBT the outcome of this little test on the claims thrown about here (my view)

As to BFL imho the ONLY reason I got a refund ...and being 'charitable' to BFL and saying they were 'incompetent to make the monarch/asic" in any timely manner..
was because of the more then 1 year delay and pressures by the class action suit and other agencies looking into how/why it took 1 year since last august TAPEOUT
supposedly to ship a product and try to float the 'no refund' policy for that length of time....at the very least it was unsustainable from a consumer protection point
of view and 'supposedly' is being corrected with shipping and refunds...

again giving BFL the benefit of a doubt that they simply did not know what they were doing rather then it being a deliberate scam

I find it interesting that even in the above charitable light on the situation in my view...Josh/BFL is making any claims on a trustworthy rating by doggie
it seems almost 'self-defeating' by Josh to even attempt such

but again imho .....

.....but actions have consequences...for customers out $$$ for more then a year and companies reputations suffering
thru feedback/ratings/bitcointalk or whatever....thats the breaks

attempting to be above board here BFL did refund me 8.5k and seems to be refunding at this point as well...but they have a LONG LONG way to go imho
and probably should not be tossing gasoline on this thread...only actions in the future will help BFL .....the past will speak for itself....

so suck up and face your rating BFL ...you got some pride back with the refunds....only the future will fix/find any redemption the past ..whether you think
it fair or not is pretty much fixed imho in bitcoin lore..redemption is your only choice moving forward as a company

(well lets see how beat up I get on the above)

Its all about careful wording and upselling. "We can't deliver X product due to delays, but call in today for your free upgrade to Y product, its even better"! Throw in the other required language and you bought yourself another 3 months shipping time unfortunately.

Been watching this thread and all...interesting ...to say the least....

Everyone who agrees with Doggie should go to the trust system and give him  a positive imho

Everyone who agrees with Josh that he is somehow in the wrong should give doggie a negative rating imho

Those that disagree are free to set up their own version of this guide, as Bick as done. There's no real reason to get the trust system involved.

You should check the definition of hissy fit. That's the kind of tantrum you usually throw.

If you're searching these lines for a point, you've probably missed it.  There was never anything there in the first place.

Morning. Your presence is required here, and pretty much everywhere else on the internet its spread to seeing as no one at BFL actually wants to comment: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=788886.0

Don't quote bits of the ratings. You're complaining that the guide is out of date, citing a post that was made 9 hours ago....

In the next update you also might want to consider changing AM's rating for communication to 10/10

From what I can tell FC/team seem pretty active resolving issues and what not.

That category is relative, and at the moment no one is getting close to ST's CEO manning the forums for 4 hours a day, and their lead software guy sitting on here as well to sort problems remotely as soon as they appear. 7/10 is actually a very good score.

I suppose if there can only be one 10/10 then SPtech would take the cake, but according to your criteria it does qualify for 10/10 IMO.

No they are not.
They just give lame silence when anyone asks about getting the buggy stratum implementation fixed on their controller.
They should get about a 7/10 to possibly an 8/10 as they do reply on anything else asked of them.

Even without ST I'd say no. There is no ticket system, there are no native english agents, support is still on CN/HK time and RMAs have to go back directly to CN/HK (sort of falls into this category). There is huge amount AM could do to improve. Plus people were complaining about not getting trackings or replies to emails for a week.

Good point. 7/10 seems fair.

Although RMAs appear to be going relatively smoothly (minus a few cases), there's really no excuse for not having a ticket system. Seems it's not the norm for Chinese manufacturers.

Its their standard way of doing things, they like personal selling and personal support. So when you buy a house, you want to deal with ONE person and you have to really like that person. Doesn't matter if you like the house if you don't like the salesperson, they won't but.
