This is bad. I understand you. I hope you were able to cope with this and will continue to be more attentive to the projects. It is better to check everything several times than to regret the loss of money.

nowadays it is quite difficult where almost all projects are identical, I try to look at some projects and compare but have not been able to find out what is certain everything is unclear, maybe because of that the spammers took this opportunity. can only remind you to be careful especially with your personal wallet.

although it was a reasonable amount, you can see the positive side and appreciate the experience that you gained, I've seen that kind of scams lately, that's why so many admins of telegram groups leave a pinned message warning of such scams and remember to be very careful to who you send your money.
Right, thing that I read in pinned message all time is "Admin never PM you first for Invest". That message is simple but so helpful. It's just, that people's mistakes are lack of interest in reading and paying attention to important points.

I wanted to participate in the Iagon pre-sale.  I joined what I thought was the official Iagon telegram.  Turned out it wasn't.  I followed the instructions on the pinned message, which directed me to send ETH to a specified wallet address.  Turned out it was all a scam, and I lost 5 ETH.

Really sucks.  The lesson is be careful out there.
We really appreciate the fact that you are sharing your experience just to give us a warning. We are really sad for your loss and we are really furious to those scammers that have taken your hard-earned money. Well, I think we really have that something to learned in life, whether it is small or as big as this. What I can only say is that, be very careful next time. I still believe that if something was lost, something will come back to us, a better one.

This is really a sad story and I think that now if the cryptocurrency market starts to grow, then such stories will be much more. Be careful and watch where you invest.

There are a lot of scam methods like this by making a replica or fake telegram  for a particular ico project, the developer of the ico project should confirm that the telegram is fake. and you should also check first, maybe see their thread ANN first and ask the dev about their telegram, the most important thing is you get a lesson now

Do you mean that the entire Iagon was a scam? or ou have just been phised? This is really important for me because  I was also planning to invest in Iagon hearing my friends talked about this.

This is actually happens with most of the investors who doesn't invest time on research. There are lot of fake groups which collects investors hard earned money by creating fake telegram community with full of bots and fake website with some alphabet changes. Next be vigilant and take action against such groups and thanks for sharing your unlucky story so that others will learn.

I am sympathetic and concerned about the incident that happened to you. It can be a lesson for us to be more careful in investing. This lucrative crypto currency market is very vulnerable to fraud. Moreover, cryptocurrency frauds do not yet have strict binding regulations so that people are not responsible for more freedom to carry out their crimes. It can be a lesson and experience for us to be more careful. Before investing, we must understand the transaction procedures in depth from the official website. Don't let us only get information from one door, for example telegram. We have to match all procedures through various ICO social media, for example from websites, from twitter, from facebook, etc. From now on we must be smart and careful investors again. What has happened does not need to be regretted, now is the time for us to get up and organize the strategy again.

I often encounter such fraudulent schemes. We all need to understand that no one will give you anything for free. Success in crypto is a mindfulness and in-depth analysis of the situation. One mistake can lead to a crash. But fortunately, negative experiences allow us to become smarter Smiley

Sorry for the huge loss. Scammers are every where nowadays.  We all need to be extremely careful, because these so called scammers make replica of the original site and therefore makes it difficult to differentiate between the fake and original.  Scammers are getting creative.

I feel sorry about your lost. Next time think twice before you send money to unknown person because you did not know if it is a scam or not. If you really want to joined in a pre-sale be careful to choose. There are lots of scam out there and you must be aware. You should know that there are no free in crypto world even airdrops.

There are many such scams, you must be careful! I have found that a liar's website is exactly the same as a real website! Even you can't tell any clues. The official website ICO has ended, but this cottage website is still in progress. Liars are everywhere, and investors must be very cautious.

Now there are a lot of dummy sites and links that can be brought to the fishing site. It is necessary to check several times the links that you follow. So you can lose your money.

Today, with the growing number of fake ICO, we all need to be extremely careful. In addition, you should check all the data twice before committing a transaction token.

You don't have to be too self-blaming. This is the fault of scammers. Of course, I think you should sum up some experience from this lesson. When you have a lot of experience, those scammers will hard to cheat you.
