Oh man that exgange rate gave me a Shit in the underwear .111 to .05 was quite a dump Ele That really pissed me off lol I know it wasnt your fault but dam I was thinking SG had a secret to making double every other pool made. Totaly got messed up with that and it messed with my mind. 88USD - 44 USD ugh quite depressing. Head Smash Unfortunately Eleuthria has not control over the scrypt coin prices. I knew something was off when I made 4x estimated LTC earnings and thought wow we must have hit a LOT bonus but I calculated it out by hand and found LTC to be the offender. Didn't help LTC nosedived this past month. It was even worse last week. Oh I know , I was fooled by the Estimated value. I Have been trojaned before and lost .63 BTC that SUUUcked so I just crapped my pants as an aftershock from that trojan. Ele got the multi coin goin again Im impressed I thought we were gonna be head smashing LTC blocks for a chance at a reward lol. Now Dodge is rising a tad LTC is stabelizing and Ill be a millionare tomorrow off the kitteh coin I have saved

Well I was able to sell off 20 of my newer 7xxx cards today, so I'm left with my last 10MH/s - some of these cards started with Bitcoin back in 2011 I just have the cards listed on Amazon and if they sell then I just use the proceeds to buy more coin. Even with my free power it's just not worth mining on GPUs anymore, at least not for me. Thanks for the fish Eleuthria. I'll keep my SHA-256 mining on BTC Guild though that is coming to an end too I fear.

Is there something up with the autoconverting? I just got a bunch of DOGE payouts to my wallet instead of having them autoconvery to BTC like it had been doing.
Actually I just looked and I've had both DOGE payouts and DOGE->BTC conversions on the same day.
*later* Sorry it looks like I had a payout threshold set for DOGE and didn't know it. But still why was the pool converting some DOGE and also paying some out?

You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike.

If you are closing down Scryptguild because of the NY ruling also, would you add a manual withdrawal like on BTC Guild?

There's no need for manual withdraw on ScryptGuild. Set your payout to 0.001 and the full balance gets paid within 24 hours (set it to 0.01 and it's within the hour). It doesn't truncate the decimals nor does it only send the amount you set on ScryptGuild.

Why why would you say that ?
Because: This news update is being made to remind all users that BTC Guild is not a bank. Leaving BTC anywhere that is not your own wallet is always a risk that is outside of your control. Automatic withdrawals should always be set to trigger at least once a week, if not more frequently for large users, limiting your exposure.
The above is also important as news comes out of the New York Department of Financial Services, with proposed regulations which are extremely broad. Under the current proposals (subject to public comment and revision), operating a pool within the US will be impossible to do legally without obtaining significant personal information on ALL users, not just those in the US. There would also be significant financial costs which would exceed the amount of money the pool has generated since inception. Since there is no way anybody will mine on a pool with those requirements, it means that any pool in the US will be forced to shut down, or operate illegally and hope they're ignored.
If the regulations are finalized (this is unlikely to happen for at least 3-4 months if not more) in a form that still applies to pools, the pool will be forced to shutdown. This news post is being made as notice that this is an exception to the stated 3-month closure window identified in our FAQ and the forum thread. If the regulations pass, the 3-month window will be reduced to 45 days due to legal requirement to cease operations prior to the regulations taking effect.
This warning is pre-emptive. Nothing has changed as of this news post, and I am still waiting on feedback from legal counsel regarding whether or not it is possible for New York to extend its reach into another state if the pool has users in it from New York. The applicability of long-arm statutes for internet-based business activity is extremely messy.

eleuthria,
It looks like DOGE in the near future might implement auxpow in attempt to increase their hash rate. Granted the developers are still working on a solution concerning DOGE's hash rate problem, but some in the DOGE community are leaning towards auxpow to be the answer for now. If they do implement this, do you see sometime in the near future that the miners here on ScryptGuild will see the benefits of this change (i.e. receiving DOGE while while receiving LTC awards)? Not sure how that affects our auto-switching capability to the most profitable coin. Just wanted to get your take on this. Thanks!
