Introducing Worthless Ethereum Token

Worthless Ethereum Token is a project that was founded upon the premise of filling an enormous gap that exists in the crypto space when it comes to transparency. For the past couple years we have been paying close attention to the entire ecosystem in order to identify emerging opportunities and to analyze the progress of the space. Recently we have been noticing an increasingly appearance of projects that come up with unrealistic promises and nonexistent products launching their Initial Coin Offerings under the excuse of needing funds to deliver their so called real-world gamechanging ideas that are going to revolutionize the world we live in using the blockchain technology. This being said we believe that there is an unmeasurable need to raise awareness for these kind of projects by educating the newcomers about these projects and the inherent risk they that have as well as reminding the veterans that anyone all over the world can easily build up a nice website and promise signs and wonders. Simultaneously we would also like to prove all of the people out there that have been involved in these facades and the ones that are most-likely planning their own right now that it's actually possible to raise the same amount of ETH that they did without having to scam and fool people but instead doing it in an extremely honest way by being bold and upfront when it comes to your intentions. Therefore, we have drawn up an entire project through satire and in an extremely sarcastic way to expose the truth behind most Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) in case they were being honest.


What are the motivations behind Worthless Ethereum Token?

Plain and simple we have a couple things that motivated us to start this project. First of all, we have noticed a ridiculously amount of projects emerging in the space that are doing nothing but pushing away newcomers by promising them signs and wonders and then disappearing into thin air with everyone's money leaving these people extremely frustrated and averse to the crypto-sphere which is something extremely bad for the environment as a whole since everyone from individual investors to governments get an extremely bad image of cryptocurrencies. Second, something called insomnia was keeping us from sleeping and we have decided to do something useful about it and well, why not spend the night writting random rubish that perhaps some people over the internet will find useful or at least funny. Lastly, after realizing that someone actually managed to raise a considerably big amount of ETH by making something similar and knowing the fact that we don't even have a television we figured it could be a good idea to try something similar and hopefully gather enough to get a 4k Television, that would be awesome, for real.


WET - The token

WET is the token that was created upon the foundation of this project and it has absolutely no use case except for the fact that you can hold it and transfer it just like any other ERC20 token. You must know that our smart-contract was not audited and it's honestly just a compilation of random rubbish written around 6 AM after spending a couple days trying to learn about smart-contracts. We have even made it public so that the ones that actually understand any of this can have a few laughs at what we managed to accomplish there.

How to participate?

• Be sure to read all of the information so that you have your expectations aligned with the project.
• Please wait until the crowdsale begins otherwise your transaction will fail (ETH will be returned to your address but you will lose the transaction fees).
• Make sure that you only send ETH to the crowdsale contract.
• Be sure to provide enough Gas for your transaction to be successful (210,000 is more than enough).
• Copy the crowdsale contract address and simply send as much Ether and you want.
• The tokens will be sent to your wallet right away but you will have to wait until the end of the crowdsale to be able to transfer them.

Exactly one year ago, Useless Ethereum Token (UET) have initiated their Initial Coin Offering that begun on 4^th July and ran for a week ending on 11^th July raising a total of 310.445 ETH according to their website. This being said, Useless Ethereum Token is the only competitor that we recognize in the space that we are targetting. As a matter of fact if you pay close attention you will notice that most of the things that are written on our website are extremely identical to what they wrote as well. Similar to what happens in other fields that are being "revolutionized" by the blockchain technology, every single time a project presents a groundbreaking idea that is actually able to bring some value to the space, 2 or 3 other projects appear out of thin air saying pretty much the same thing, promising to have a better delivery than their competitors and claiming that their business model allows them to accomplish so much more than others. We also believe that there is enough room in the field for both projects to grow and prosper and hopefully we'll be able to have a wider reach than Useless Ethereum Token. Trust us, we truly hope we do.


Is this a scam?

Not at all! According to the Oxford dictionary, a scam is a dishonest scheme, a deceptive act or operation usually assembled to steal people's money. As you might have noticed by now, we are extremely honest and transparent when it comes to our project, our motivations and our goals. We tell you upfront that you should not expect any product from us and that what we have done so far is all that we have to offer and that the WET is a completely worthless and useless token with use-case whatsoever. We have even told you that there is absolutely no reason for you to give in your precious ETH for this token and so we have managed to align your expectations to what we have to offer which is absolutely nothing.
