Just received a email from fiverr saying they are starting to accept bitcoin, thought I best hunt down a press report....and.. found one lol.

Fiverr Teams Up With Coinbase to Pay for Services in Bitcoin

Fiverr is a site where people do small odd jobs for five dollars. Over the site’s millions of listings this includes almost anything.

The front page alone has listings for two hours of ‘Virtual Office Assistant’ work, composing and recording a song, logo and icon designs, illustrations and short voice recordings. Freelancers can also offer larger jobs for higher amounts of money, sometimes up to $500.

This is the email fiverr sent me! (tbh they have been trying to get me to use the site for ages, now I might lol)

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Always good news to see sites adopting BTC. What are the Gigs® things? The way you pay the person?

Basically a person offers to do a basic job for $5. This basic job is called a "Gig" (as in a music band would perform a gig, I guess) on the website. They have other "Gig" options , $5 and up. I will eventually use the site to get a few music tracks of mine mastered for 'shits and giggles' as I haven't the time myself anymore!.

People offer Website design, art, music, PR and all that crap.

Edit: The main reason I checked this site out was for sprite design for computer games!

Never heard of it but it sounds interesting. I'm always interested in earning more coins, and I'm sure this will be a great way to introduce people to Bitcoin.

Yeah, I never actually checked if you have the choice to get paid in bitcoins. That would be pretty sweet!. Some of the BS people do on this site for money is , well, pure BS!. You can have some crazy lady sing a few lines for you for $5, or have another promote your site with a piece of paper in a random location, beats mining shit coins! haha.

They really need to implement bitcoin withdrawals.

That would be cool if users could choose to get paid directly into a bitcoin balance instead of USD balance.
