BOLD is a fast, low-supply, digital currency created solely and purposely with a vision to become a widely-accepted medium of exchange, but in particular, to be a safe and straight-forward store of value over time. Uncomplicated. Confidential. Anonymous.

BOLD is replacing the BOLD Token, an ERC-20 token and holders of the token will be able to swap them for the new coin at a ratio of 1:1.

• Very Low Suply: Only 7,777,777 BOLD coins will ever exist. This low supply of coins forms the basis of the BOLD's potential to grow in value
• Private and Confidential Transactions: Based on the Classic Cryptonote Algorithm, BOLD provides you with a completely confidential and anonymous payment scheme. Ring Signature technology ensures complete anonymity. Transactions are unlinkable, and payments are untraceable

BOLD is not for everyone. If you are looking for a cryptocurrency that has a high block reward, or that claims to be the answer to all the world's problems, then BOLD is not the cryptocurrency you seek.
Additionally, BOLD is ASIC-friendly, which is not necessarily attractive to many people.

For clarity and in the spirit of transparency, please be aware that as a result of the swap, the effective total number of mineable coins is just under 4 million coins (3,975,809.01689819).

The BOLD Rewards program done with the BOLD tokens will not be carrying over to the new coin - token holders now have the opportunity to join in PoW mining, and helping to support the network.



All current holders of the out-going BOLD tokens are able to exchange their tokens for the Bold coin at a 1:1 ratio. Token-Coin swap will be open from July 3 to August 3 2018, and instructions for swap can be found on the official BOLD website here.

* All BOLD Tokens will be "burned" at the end of the swap period
* UNSWAPPED BOLD COINS (coins set aside for the purpose of the swap, but which were not actually swapped), at the end of the swap period, will NOT be "burned" - instead, they will be used to set up a Community Fund.

After August 3rd 2018, ALL uncirculating tokens will be "burned". The BOLD tokens will be withdrawn from exchanges. Holders of the token will not be able to trade them after August 3rd 2018 - existing tokens will be worthless.

Wow, that's a lot. Probably cheaper to create a swap web-page, where you can deposit the tokens along with a cryptonight wallet address to receive swapped funds.

It looks like you did not get on coinmarketcap. There is no "news" on the e-commerce integration partners on the token website. There is no line of sight as to what happened between April through June.

I want to be a believer- so, what makes me think that you will continue to develop and build on Bold CN going forward? It appears that not much was really done by devs except get on exchanges and give away tokens through bounties and airdrops since November 2017. What do you plan on doing?

Indeed there was a hiatus in the period you have highlighted, and the Coinmarketcap target was missed, as was the establishment solid e-commerce partnerships.
This move away from a token to a mineable coin is part of a purposeful effort now to re-address those points. We have had to re-strategize, for example with regards to the Bold rewards program we had (and which you highlighted in your very fair question) - we realized that holders did not seem to be minded to actually trade their tokens, which hampered the growth of the brand. Additionally, the cost (in ETH) to users who were willing to move the token around seemed hamper, in some sense, the planned move towards e-comerce.

The point is - what we are doing now is a dedicated effort to re-align the brand with the original vision, while making deliberate efforts to ensure that users who get involved with the project do so from a collaborative point of view (insofar as they are involved with mining and supporting the network), as opposed to one of receiving airdrops, bounties and rewards only and holding on to them. The target end result is that this builds confidence both from miners, and from those who would rather just trade the coin.
