There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Nobody ever bothered to figure out why Geist and Phoenix don't play together that well.

CGMiner with right settings and poclbm w/defaults (as used by GUIminer that comes with portability suite) work better.

Use GUIminer, it's easy to point at geist (127.0.0.1 port 8777) and fire away

If you can't at the first try, stop and start the Geist Geld daemon again, it sometimes does not work.

Dunno. It definitely compiles for linux, even horrible linux such as CentOs (though that victory is not mine to claim, thx. Pidgeons for this )

When I finish messing with TBX daemon I will look into GG linuxcoin woes.

P.S.:
I blame wxwidget dependency

Look into it.

It looks like you need to install the wxwidget-dev package.

He doesn't know whats wrong because he can't code and doesn't understand any of the errors. It's hilarious.

As far as I've seen, Lol-y hasn't ever said he was a programmer. Quite the opposite in fact.

That's probably why part of the 'fun-d' is set aside for paying coders.

Aren't you forgetting a few things?  The documentation is absolutely horrible, and when people come onto these forums seeking help, they're given half-baked answers that provide no real help at all.

How do you figure out how many GG coins you have?  I've mined a few blocks, but this GG client is kind of cryptic.
