The source was posted at launch. The windows wallet was compiled shortly after launch. Solo mining was never recommended and would not have been possible at 200+ difficulty without in excess of 60 M/H in power. You said private launch, which indicates some public miners were given an advantage. This is not the case. Nice try.

Then why do a lot of others think and seen the same thing?

For one very simple reason: there is a group of people attempting to mis-inform people about rubycoin in this thread. Whether intentionally or not, that's what they're doing. Anyone who was in the IRC at launch knows what you are saying is false.

I don't engage with habitual liars. We're done here.

At least 2 pools were mining the coin seconds after the dropbox link was posted (at best, it may have been a minute or two before, both are a sign of the same thing).  Therefore they had to have it ahead of time.  The first post in this thread was not updated for many minutes after the link was posted in irc.  To my knowledge the change in early block reward wasn't posted anywhere.

Where is the mis-information?

OMG, almost two days later and people are still crying.  Cry I was not on one of the early release pools, in fact, you can find me right now on Bitember.com, I missed a few coins... I missed a few coins, that's it. I wish I had gotten those coins, because I am trying to make a profit here, but even though I happen to be a guy... I've got my big girl panties on and I will live to fight another day. I have chosen to mine this coin for a while longer, but I might change my mind an hour from now, but I just can't spend days crying over something I know I'm not going to change. Either I want to mine this coin or I don't, if I don't want to, I will put my energies into the coin I do want to mine... it's just that simple.

I could care less. I don't have any ruby left nor am I mining it anymore, and as such its my last post here. Mine the coin, enjoy the coin, love the coin. .  But for people to claim it was an all well and good launch and anyone saying otherwise is part of some smear campaign is silly. Coin dev's releasing source code to certain pools is also silly (to anyone, really).  Just let them rush to grab it, compile it, and get their shit going like everyone else.  God forbid people solo mine for a few minutes, or those who can't/don't have to wait 5min for pools to pop up.  But oh well, thats another story.

You guys should market to the Ruby programming community.

Profit-Switching Pool w/ Vardiff -> http://hashco.ws  Optionally keep the alts we mine or auto-trade for BTC. In addition can be paid out in any of: 365, AC, BC,  BTC, C2, CINNI, COMM, FAC, HBN, MINT, PMC, QRK, RDD, WC, XBC

Well I lost 20 min typing a big explanation only to realise you probably wouldn't get any of it anyway.

So let's summarize:

The real question you should be asking is "Did I get the correct amount of coins for the hashing power I have (showed on miner, not on pool) for the last 24H, based on a 24H Diff average?". If so, it's quite obvious the problem relies solely on the webserver/page and who the fuck cares... Let it be man, I prefer they invest in a good server to run stratum and in security, who cares about the webserver Smiley As long as you got your coins! Otherwise change pool and report it please Smiley

im out of this coin - i managed to mine 457 Ruby from launch for approx 36hrs....

Has been an interesting journey, and i have enjoyed reading the posts on this thread. I have also noticed the amount of miners in the pool i was using dropped to 100 - and this was supposed to be the busiest pool???

i do believe the value of this coin will increase, therefore i will be holding my Ruby for a few weeks and see what happens... its just to bloody hard to mine for the short term, and i need daily income

enjoy guys...

What a scam... Asking people to make a Ruby faucet then when you complete it... the owner remove from the main post the free slot and leave only 2 of them.
Thank! Very fair!

This seems to be the worst coin ever made.

before you start screaming about it being a scam, have you posted in the reddit thread requesting a bounty payment as they instructed in the announcement thread?

There is no mis-information.
I was on IRC and can confirm that atleast 3 pools (ruby.suchpool.pw, ruby.hash.so and https://minercrew.org/ruby/) were mining before the dropboxlink with the rubycoin source was released to other pools and public. Then we have http://rby.united-miners.com who confirmed they were up 16 (!!) secs after dropboxlink was published. Worlds fastest compiling?

Anyway, looking at the IRC-log/conversation all these pools seems to be related to the devteam one way or another.

Shitcoin.

I have posted and contacted the owner of this topic via pm.
Strangely after I sent the pm, the free slot disappeared and not longer exists.

the hashrate displayed on the dashboard is just and estimate of your last 10 minutes of accepted shares.  It is not accurate and was never designed that way.  The only way to tell what your actual hash power is by looking at  the WU number on cgminer.  your WU (work upload) is how you get paid.  It should always be at least 90% of your total hash rate.
