According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Proof of Stake will start at block 125,000

A mandatory update (v1.0.0.0) is available. All users, exchanges, and services must update.

- Rubycoin Windows Wallet

- Rubycoin OSX Wallet

- Github Source Code

If you are using Windows and the wallet doesn't start or returns an error message, goto Start then Run and navigate to %AppData%\Rubycoin you will need to delete the "blockchain" and "chainstate" folders.

If you are using OSX and the wallet doesn't start or returns an error message, you will need to delete the "blockchain" and "chainstate" folders located in /Users/<Username>/Library/Application Support/Rubycoin

Careful not to delete wallet.dat - that is where your Rubycoin are stored.

Good Work on new OSX wallet...thanks!!!

The application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in unusual way.

Windows 8.1

Thanks !

You can send it to a wallet for staking when you get access. I don't have an exact date for that, but it's next on my list.

Thank you boss.

Yes RBY is going PoS at block 125k.

Untill that time you can still mine rubycoin.

Ok, I have a merged mining pool that has RBY as the main coin. Check it at http://sigwo.x64.me. I'll leave it until block 125k, then a different main coin will take it's place. Thanks.

Less than 500 blocks remaining until switch to PoS.

Explorer wallet is stuck at 124999 here ("version" : 1000000), and getpeerinfo seems to indicate everyone is also at 124999 (or not connecting)
Any ideas?

My wallet is stuck at 124999, although is detecting blocks ahead of that. Currently at 124999 of 125004.

Working on a fix for this now.
What's the problem with PoS, if you don't mind me asking?

It is not working
Obviously, what is the actual problem with it was more my question. Like a "the PoS is not working because we forgot to ____" or " PoS isn't working because ____ function isn't working properly".

Someone on the network is staking, and I would like to know who, and how. Blocks are being generated and detected.
