You realize that it was the developer of the PND coin who just saved the PANDA coin, right? And it looks like they got the problem fixed, even if it took a couple of tries.

I never would have thought that PND would have helped out PANDA like that! If you're still playing with PANDA, you shouldn't talk bad about PND anymore.

So are the exchanges going to go with the new wallet? Jacob isn't likely to update anything official to point to the new wallet. The OP doesn't even mention wallets, but www.thepandacoin.com has links to the old one.

People using the new wallet will probably have to convince the exchanges to switch to the same version.

OK then, but it's a bit suspicious that Swisscex posted (and was quoted by someone else) as saying PANDA was fixed already on April 3. The fact that someone was able to quote them on April 3 as saying it was fixed almost certainly means that they really did say so too early, rather than them editing their comment later.

Maybe they just goofed on April 3. I don't know. Is it possible that Jacob fed them a fixed wallet that wasn't released to the community, hoping to exclude people who didn't have access to the fixed wallet? That seems tinfoil-hatish but who knows what Jacob might try? Anyway, I think it would be a good idea to have Swisscex confirm exactly which wallet they are using.

MintPal hasn't said anything AFAIK. They are usually pretty good about tweeting when they update their wallets.

The pandacoin mentioned on that list was PND. It was the first smallish altcoin to implement the change after Auroracoin.

Because I believe that people should be able to continue trading this coin I have patched the file necessary to prevent the misuage of the kgw exploit. The fix will kick in after block 31400.

Please note that the windows installer will throw a false positive on ESET because it includes "a variant of bitcoinminer".
