This might be the issue, Theymos might be waiting for people to report more posts before he has enough data to appoint a moderator - as he didn't seem to have very much data this time last year with only a few reports.

If there are enough unhandled reports then theymos will have to do something, there also doesn't seem to be anyone willing to moderate the board as both you and JohnUser have said that you have put too much effort into reporting posts and if no one is available to take the spot (and we can't magically produce people to moderate a board).

I started to report in February on the French boards only.
Make a comparison on the number of posts between the English and French boards.
And compare what is comparable.

Because I asked them that many questions . There was a thread on it, I tried to google it but with no avail.
Accuracy was 99% if I remember rightly and what do you mean by forums, if you mean boards then no one actually really has that data other than Theymos so how would I know? And whenever they registered obvioulsy (2013).

Serious discussion and the Ivory Tower are good. But they should be temporary solutions. There will still be rampant spam in all sections namely Bitcoin Discussion which has devolved to the point where it seems insulting to have such a name. Moderators need to handle things on a more macro level (thread locks/trashing), or there should be more moderators appointed.

We should also have some better proactive measures against spam as the forum scales.

We discussed this in February and names came up.
- LeGaulois (Hero)
- Soy (Legendary) (from July and he asked for several mods)
- JonhUser (for Altcoins sections only)
and maybe more now. Things may have changed since February.

But before giving names, we should know if Theymos agrees to promote moderator(s). Once its GO given, the names will come quickly

If we had a mod, he would just have to delete the threads. Here, we have to red trust those guys, gather some proof against them and then hope for a DT to check on the situation and tag them. We shouldn't have to do that. And that's only a mere drop in the ocean.
We are not a small community (though more and more French people are leaving), we deserve to be heard.
Just get rid of this useless mod (I can't believe he's getting paid for doing nothing) and promote someone else.

I vouch for LeGaulois to be a second French board mod.

Our actual mod isn't doing anything anymore (kcud_dab). I don't know him at all, so he might have been a great mod in the past, but he doesn't do shit now. And I believe he is getting payed for that.

We definitely  get the whole idea here. To keep that board alive there should be someone who should stepup to keep it alive.

They are right that theymos might not just able to find someone who's willing to support that local section. Since you are already here gaining attention.

Try to apply for being a mod? And start reporting posts that you think does not have any sense at all. That might change theymos's outlook towards that section. As long as you are ready for that responsibility.

The need for a P&S mod and a French Mod are completely irrelevant to each other.  I wasn't promoted to a mod and then assigned P&S over the French board.  I don't believe having a P&S mod reduces or changes in anyway the French board getting a mod.
