If the gift cards are for known services such as Nike, Adidas, Amazon, Nordstorm etc. then you could sell them very easily (as long as your rates are competitive).

I suggest to either use Paxful for that matter or try the digital goods section in the forums. I can't speak about the legalities but I'm almost sure It's fine, I've seen a lot of people from the US doing it.

If you're selling Bitcoin for anything, you're going to have to know the regulations that are in place regarding this. It ALSO highly matters to know what state you're in, because if you're in New York you're going to collide with the BitLicense, which is a license that New York passed that you'd have to comply with if you're going to buy and sell bitcoin --> this is going to cost you somewhere in the range of 100k to millions, so it isn't economic to sell bitcoin in New York unless you're a big company.

If you're in other places of the United States, you're probably going to need some sort of license from FinCen as you're dealing with currency conversion. Goodluck, I would just avoid this all together if you don't want the government to reign down upon you.

I'm considering selling gift cards, including prepaid visa cards, for BTC.

Are there any legal snafus I should know about before I dive in head first?  I'm based in the US, a very not-free country when it comes to cryptocurrencies.

If you want to sell the gift cards that you can do that here itself mate. Please go to digital goods section and send your GC at there by opening a new thread with the price and details about it. If any one want the GC they may be come and pm you.

Here is the link.

Have escrow in all your trade. You may get scam by anyone also. Please be careful mate.

If I remember correctly, there are some reputable sites that can exchange Bitcoin gift cards. I have never used these sites. Hope you can exchange your gift card and exchange Bitcoin success
