With some capacitor missing, and it's a mix of Rev 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3 (see stickers).

Nah, those stickers are a joke.

Bitcointa.lk - Replace "Bitcointalk.org" with "Bitcointa.lk" in this url to see how this page looks like on a proper forum (Announcement Thread)

@Bar I don't know man..

I'm gonna need some more proof. I'm gonna need today's newspaper (Must be new york times), signed by the Editor in Chief in the same picture. Just to make sure it's 100% Legit. And I'm gonna need the Picture to be done on an old Kodak and I'm gonna need that sent to me through the USPS (The Kodak, not the picture you took with it). I'll then manual process the images and be 100% sure. /s

But thanks for the pics  Cheesy

Ah, my apologies then, I figured that Hashfast simply had an abundance of older boards that we bought off of them (as well as the reference design from which ActM is building 5,000 boards) but now that I write it out, it does seem stupid  Grin

Yes these are Rev 2 boards.

From what was said (and in the picture Ken Posted) the 5,000 boards will be the EVO boards (4 power connectors instead of two) and will get ~700GH+ if similar to what HashFast reports them at.

...
how much will it cost to produce 5000 boards? I imagine costs will be in the range of $800-1000 per board since the hashfast chips will likely cost $500-700 each. That means at least $3.5M in upfront costs, likely $4M+

Cross-posting this question from Custom Hardware thread.

Ken, how much are you estimating for upfront costs for the 5000 boards? Sorry if this has been mentioned previously.

First off, why does anyone in the Custom Hardware thread care what VMC pays for the elements of the miner? If anything investors would be interested in that info, not customers. Second, Ken will not be able to avoid financial reports moving forward and this information will be displayed in said report. It's only a matter of time. We know this and I'm sure he knows this.

I know there will still be some skeptics out there if I actually received these or not so let me know what to do that will be considered "proof" to you.

Ken is actually 2 Days late on a financial report. (Maybe today? Maybe being a little bit more detailed than usual? Hopefully.)

Anyways they did raise a good question though you're right I don't know why they would care unless to estimate future cost per? Idk. But I am curious myself.

I'll be pointing it here http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/userstats.php/1FscNBYzd5CqDzUVQ9YapLQNtLbswkM4NL when I do get them up and running. I should honestly have them both up and running by tomorrow night if nothing goes wrong. I'll also be able to take a picture of the Kill-A-Watt from the wall.

I received my two units (Ordered another one because of the voucher)

this is bullshit man, if you really had the product you would post pictures left, right and center!

If you bothered to read that post any further you'd see this part:

I'm trying to place an order with btc but still am getting nowhere.  i used the "call us online" link and never was connected to anyone, tried email and haven't received a response, and tried calling the 855-663-2482 number only to go to a voicemail box.  If anyone from the company is monitoring this I'd like to get an order in, so please respond to my email or voicemail.  thanks.

Your surprise is not surprising. Many of us have been through a lot with ActM and now what was once a mere glimmer of hope is now getting brighter and brighter. If Ken also manages to get that full custom 28nm chip designed and built, then the wait will have absolutely been worth it!

I thought all chip projects are cancelled at this point.

In reality they may be cancelled, but based on what Ken says, ActM is still working on one. It's up to the reader to decide whether they trust Ken's word or not.
