Hello bitcointalk,

Does anyone out there know the industry standard cost per hour for community management? both from the big guys and small guys.

Regards

Check it out yourself in the Service sections. Plenty of managers on this forum offering their services, you can try showing them your proposal - try some of the big ones (trusted members, staff/mods) or smaller ones (no particular trust level but have portfolios).

I know the very biggest ones can charge in percentage of tokens/ICO raised, but in general they all prefer to have fixed amounts PLUS percentage.

Pay for peanuts, you get peanuts. Like every service.

No idea but I suggest you to inquire on your own with those people who are offering their management skills on the Services.

There's no harm on trying out and inquiring on how much it cost if you are planning to launch something in the near future.

Pay for peanuts, you get peanuts. Like every service.
Yeah if you have a tighter budget make sure that you'll still get the best one instead of hiring a random guy that you can pay for cheaper rates.

I think the hourly rates are very different. It always depends on the manager or which agency leads a campaign. For example Moonbounties.io want from 2000$ to 4000$ per month for leading a campaign. But some private bounty managers are definitely cheaper. But whoever is better is written on another page. Wink

I like peanuts!!! But you are correct if you are working with peanut factory expect that your payment will somewhat the same to peanut butter, peanut brittle and some peanut products, that is how ICO works.

If you're only interested in making peanut butter, and there's nothing wrong with that at all, of course, then of course paying for peanuts is acceptable but really if it's $10 an hour for community management, that's only $200 a week for 20 hours. You're better off doing that on your own, since it's just peanut butter. Save the $200 and get it done nicely.

If you can't afford to manage a community well, then you need volunteers. Volunteers tend to come with belief. So maybe build a project worth believing in. That's how it is in real life too.

I've been quoted everything from 1 ETH per week to 7 ETH per month.  None of the prices made any sense.  Maybe it was the "newbie" next to my username, but the quotes were pretty sketchy.

Universal rules!
It is a real job (more and more with time), I am not shocked by amounts of several ETH/week

Using volunteers isn't a good option, you just can't expect the same standards from them as you would of someone who is getting paid.
Plus it also comes across badly if people know that you don't have enough funds for hiring proper community managers.

Doing it yourself is also an equally bad idea, you want to spend your own time with things that are directly tied to your ICO, not answering questions all day.

Performance or handling wont really be just the same yet we know interest and dedication will be different when you are on a volunteer or in a paid position i definitely agree on that one and a being said negative impressions would arise yet people would already know that you dont have budget for such thing then trust and confidence will surely be lessen down.
Talking about rates $10 per hour is just really a peanut but i dont have much idea on what would be the price ranges, its ideal to ask for those people who are engage into this.

Depending on the services you want to receive, contact your manager so that you can know the rates for each service. Good luck

Hello bitcointalk,

Does anyone out there know the industry standard cost per hour for community management? both from the big guys and small guys.

Regards
It all depends on the size of the community and the amount of work done. The minimum bid for this job is $ 10 per day

the normal rate of payment is an average of 10 $ / 1 day but depends on the level of difficulty of your job and your price transaction with your client because the price will change according to your accessibility in financial services

Some clients wanted to have a full service like from managing the bounty up to their ann thread so yeah it depends on the tasks and of course your experience. This will be the basis of the client on what he can offer while $10 per hour should be the benchmark for it.
Nonetheless, don't demand for high compensation if you still starting your career.
