Sorry if this has been asked, but I didn't see any topic relevant to this and googling came up with nothing.
Just signed up here and was trying to visit links for some airdrops of a few eXXXX tokens.

When I go to a linked airdrop thread (i.e. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2247567.0), it says the thread is missing or off limits.

The topic or board you are looking for appears to be either missing or off limits to you.

Is there something I'm doing wrong? Do I need to have more posts associated with my account to see certain threads?

Well it could be off limits but more likely what happened is that that thread has been deleted. There were a lot of eXXX coins showing up the past few days and I believe many of them were completely fake. They were here

purely to fish for information on people and moderators have likely came in and banned all those copycat threads.

No, I got the same, several times. I'm sure they were threads that have been deleted. A lot of 'eSomething' threads here in the last few days...

Definitely deleted. They possibly also violated a couple of forum rules, as a lot of recent Airdrop threads seem to be made by posters that are not fully aware of them (eg. asking users to post their address for free tokens -- causing spam threads -- comes to mind).

I think it might also have something to do with the amount of users posting their ether or waves addresses in the thread, which is not allowed.

I also get the same message
Airdrops which are usually Altcoin giveaways aren't allowed, so these threads are usually thrashed, mostly when they are reported or if the mods come across the thread.

Most giveaway threads are no longer allowed in the Alternate cryptocurrencies sections. From now on, posting or replying to such threads could result in being banned. Existing threads will be locked.

Specifically, you are not allowed to give people any incentive to post insubstantial posts in your threads. You can't offer to pay people who post their addresses, usernames, etc. You can do giveaways off-site and link to the giveaway page in a thread, but you can't give people any bonus for replying to your thread.

Similar threads are already restricted to Games and Rounds in the non-altcoin sections, but the giveaway-related post volume is so high in the altcoin sections that I've decided to just ban them entirely here.

Was checking if the deleting function(with 24 hour cooldown) works or not, it works only in a few sections?
