No way I am sending my ID details to an unknown US based ID company. I am verified on an exchange in my home country where they deposit fiat into my account. That is enough.
With no notice given and a faulty verifing system it points to something else being up. Otherwise just unlock accounts and let people move their coins. If they want to stay and use the Trex service then make them verify.

The way this has been handled is the very worst. almost unbelievable if it wasn't cryptos. They must surely be breaking some law

Had 2-FA enabled, I did a reset in my phone without backing up any thing. Now Google Authenticator is asking for something which I don't have, can't find it at all. Roll Eyes Unable to login to Bittrex now.

What's the fastest way to get the hell out of this issue?

Without the support blackout would take a week or so of proving it's yours, in current situation? looking at a long wait.

Apparently google sometimes stores the seed in your phone cache, but yeah GA doesn't offer up a seed on Trex it's the worst 2fa in existence

There are a couple of things you can try to get back into your Bittrex account.

(1) You could contact Bittrex and ask them to remove the 2FA then all you need is username/password, you will need to provide all the authentication details again - I did this, just in case something went wrong with my phone.

(2) Use the 'secret key' you got when first setting 2FA - I guess you don't have this.

Just tried to get "Enhanced" on Bittrex, uploaded clear pics but got rejected and asked to resubmit.

I followed the guidelines so this seems sketchy to me.

I will give it another try at some point, but for now, no more trading on Bittrex for me.

Tried same thing several times, no joy. System stopped allowing me to make requests, very odd...


Were you able to try "enhanced verification" multiple times? I was able to try only once, and now it says "There was an error processing. Please reload the page", but after reloading the page, it just goes back to "we could not match you against public records"

Same problem here...  seems like their verification system is overloaded.. WTF!!!

Same here. I submitted a support ticket... hopefully they respond within a few days...

I want my money back

i have been a bittrex user for years now and since my account was old the account type was "Legacy" and my limit has always been high. (recently changed to 1337BTC). everything was fine and i continued using bittrex without any issue.

now out of the blue my account type is changed to lowest possible account! and i am not willing to give bittrex any documentation.
i would like to take my money out and use another exchange but it is stuck too!

sent a ticket too.

(this is a big scam by bittrex in my opinion, they are harvesting bitcoin users identification by forcing this new rule upon them)

If you guys were trading "big money" with unverified account, you are the person to blame. Not bittrex....
Do not comment without enough information please.
Many accounts, including my account, have been fully verified

If you got banned there is a reason behind it. I doubt bittrex ban account "for fun".

well well well doctor you completely solve problem. what that reason, why they hide it? we deserve proper answer, it a heist

i got all my money out while i can.
i suggest everybody do the same before this happens to you also.
clearly there is something wrong here.this any people cant be lying right.
thank god there are a lot of new reliable exchanges. (hitbtc,binance,liqui,tidex interface is great by the way)

I never thought some day I will begggggggggg for giving back my own money!
This is the most offensive treatment I ever seen.
If my account get enable I never open Bittrex website any more even for a second
All of my money is in there and I'm going in loss more and more and cant do anything!

Bittrex is Scamming people step by step,Withdraw all your money as fast as you can or you will be disabled too soon

My account is still working flawlessly but there have been lot of red flags lately that makes me scared. Delisting Bitshares, hack rumours after alt coin dump, raised withdrawal fees on ether tokens and now disabled accounts.

Arbitrary lockings of accounts with stored funds is the worst thing that can happen to the credibility of a financial company. It makes it no better than some shady casino that allow deposits without verifications but have a huge processes for cashing out. Bittrex really have to show some serious explanation about this if they want to keep their reputation.

The biggest issue I have with this, my legacy account displayed withdrawals up to 1337.
It displays this before you deposit, during your deposit, until you want to cash out...such a nasty move, holding people's money hostage in exchange for all their private personal information.

Wanted to update I had my account disabled and went through hoops by submitting documents for enhanced verification and got the same error for auto upgrading my account from basic to enhanced that many other people here got. I also sent them a .jpg of myself holding my drivers licence and written paper with "BITTREX, CURRENT DATE" with my face onto their support ticket.

It has been a couple days now and I login into Bittrex and my account is now ENHANCED so I guess the error was only temporary as my account has been upgraded. HOWEVER my account is still disabled. There hasn't been any response from the Bittrex support staff yet so I am still waiting for them to enable my account. I am glad to see that their enhanced verification system is working now so I guess that is some progress. I will update if my account gets enabled or not and how long it takes them to do it.

FYI: I am from Canada and do all my trading from the same IP's all the time with 2FA enabled since the life of my Basic account for 5months.

I can confirm my account has now been upgraded to Enhanced Verification and Enabled too after about a day after getting the "no public records" error. And it appears withdrawals are not disabled, but I have not tried to initiate one yet...
