Same thing happened to me last night that everyone else is experiencing.
My HUNCH: They are being forced to comply with Homeland Security (whatever that entails).
My ADVICE: Let's chill for awhile and see what happens. I can't imagine Bittrex would blow such a potentially profitable business by just being dickheads. Let's cut them some slack for awhile and see where this goes.
No I'm not a shill for Bittrex, I'm just trying to follow the logic trail here.

ROFL... Dear Busoni,Poloniex et al,...
All is forgiven now.We are sorry for all the moaning and are thankful you never held our funds hostage in the manner Bittrex is underhandedly ensnaring its long standing customers. We forgive you for your lag times and crap response and for taking away our beloved trollbox where we could fud and hype and talk meaningless shit all day long until oldman banned our asses although we were always welcomed back to the fold after a short time in the sin bin and we had option to switch the noob box off of course if we didnt want to look at ego inflated noobs talk about ripple and other such evil projects against humanity..
Now that shittrex is treating their loyal users with contempt we love you long time etc etc and wish to have warm and fuzzy future where we can happily trade our .00000001 satoshi among other shit coins in peace without having to be data raped for such a privilege.
Can we come back after our treacherous move to buttrex? We have learned our lesson and pledge mighty allegiance to the great busoni dood etc etc and so forth.
Big hugs,
Signed
Bud Mc Fud & Hamish Mc Hype

Do you mean that's when you last traded?

Hard to do but, you are right, sit back and wait I suppose, not much else to do...

does bittrex not accept coins that have bounty? I see a coin that recently entered bittrex no one has a bounty. I would like to hear an answer on this, hoping bittrex responds to this

With all the weirdness going on with Poloniex over the last few months, I withdraw most of the coins I was keeping into individual wallets and mostly stopped trading. I opened a Bittrex account as my new trading alternative, but I haven't deposited yet.
I just checked my Bittrex account and it appears to be normal. But, with all this going on now, I'm concerned about using it at all. I want to see all this shake out before I deposit anything with them.
I read about the curious sudden dump a few days ago of coins that appear on Bittrex. I would bet that all these sudden disabled accounts has something to do with that.
I think it is internal though. An internal error in the exchange or a hack. The political stuff doesn't make much sense.
Just because Trump says something about Iran doesn't change the legal status. There has been no legal change in the last week regarding US-based companies doing business with individuals from Iran, Syria or wherever. So, I don't think that's it.
I feel for whoever has their account and coins currently held hostage by Bittrex.
But be patient. There is probably an answer coming. Maybe something happened that they just weren't prepared for. I know you my be missing out on profits and you're worried about your coins. Let's hope it all gets straightened out and you get your accounts opened and your coins back.
We don't need any more Mt Gox's. I agree it's time for decentralized exchanges.

After hearing that Bittrex is closing accounts and reading the user experiences, I withdrew all my positions on Bittrex. They definitely lost my trust. The crypto world needs decentralized exchanged. Enough with those centralised criminal power-yielding exchanges!

I have been using bittrex for quite some time now and after logging in it say new account and offer me a basic verification tried to do it but fail and now offering enhance verification. basic information is the only thing needed. i am not gonna upload any ID on their site because once it got leak again then all you private information will be stolen.
WTF is going on with Bittrex?
They forced me to upgrade to basic in order to be able to withdraw, but when entered all the info, I got 'no public record match' (whatever that means), so they're asking for a selfie with id.
There's no way I'm sending my id to such dodgy company, so asked them to either upgrade me to basic, or close my account and return my funds.
I think I'm done with centralised exchanges...
Same here, seems I don' t exist. This is real, yes? hmm now I'm beginning to wonder if ol' Elon is actually correct and we're all in a simulator. I've lived in the same house for 15 years, same phone number etc.. Been on trex 3.5 yrs, ridiculous amount of trading over that time. I don't trust these guys with my full identification and I've got a sizable amount stuck on there atm. Shitty crypto exchange situation, again.

I tried mine, working as usual and my account status is still the same with how it was previously. I wonder of the error and account blocking only affect random accounts.
Have users with legacy accounts encountered any withdrawal problems recently? I have a legacy account and it says I can withdraw 1337 BTC a day, and I have withdrawn 10+ BTC on numerous occasions with no problems. But since yesterday when I log in I get automatically redirected over to the Basic Verification page that has a warning on the top saying "Unverified accounts cannot withdraw from Bittrex". Although when I go to my account summary it still says that my limit is 1337 BTC and the account type is still "Legacy". So I'm wondering if anything has changed in the past few days regarding unverified "legacy" accounts.
My other account is a legacy with those 1337 limit, it stored only 0.5 BCC (i was stuck at 0.33 bcc/btc, so I was kinda let it sit and wait for a miracle) and around 0.0017btc (I don't even remember I have this, I believe it was a leftover). I was rarely logging in to that account, maybe only once per week or even less, and I do that merely to make sure that the account will not get locked due to inactivity. Today I logged in and got that "unverified account..." thing, my summary said my limit is still 1337, but my account type is now stated as "new". Stubbornly, I tried to withdraw the BCC to other exchange, because I thought there were nothing to lose, either it got locked forever because I refuse to do another verification, it will get frozen (or lost in limbo) on my attempt of withdrawal despite the "warning", or I got lucky and it arrive at my other address. The BCC arrived after roughly six hours. Upon that success, I tried to WD the rest of the btc, because their withdrawal fee will means I'll only get 0.0007 in case of successful withdrawal, I exchange them to doge and send the doge to my address. It arrived too. So maybe you want to try withdrawing some? Just a small amount at first, to test the water. Maybe those "unverified account..." thing was an empty threat. Or maybe... I was just lucky.

Because they changed their terms & conditions without giving any notification or giving people the opportunity to withdraw their funds if they did not agree to those new terms. Are you happy to trust them to keep a copy of all your personal identification safe and secure that would enable identity theft? I think we need to start identifying their representatives here so they can be red flagged. Here is an example of one chasing a $100k + wire deposit but does not have the time to address the account issues: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2250235.msg23032324#msg23032324

are you not worry if you loss all your coin? why so hard to do what they ask for? what is going to do if they wont give your money back till you give your identification Worried is the wrong word, pissed off is a better representation of how I feel with this situation. If they had given prior notification about the upcoming changes to account identification levels I would have immediately withdrawn all my funds, then gone about trying out their new ID levels. Instead, I went ahead and tried for the basic level, but like everyone else in this thread that has tried that route, it failed. I know damn well I exist and that none of the information I gave them is false yet it did not work. Their "Public record providers" could not find me, which is absolute horse shit. So, no, I will not be sending in my full identification. I DO NOT trust them now. Not that I did much in the beginning but I've never had a single problem trading, depositing or withdrawing from trex in the past. I've lost coins on these exchanges before, nothing new to me. For now I'll keep trading and withdrawing what little I can each day while trying out other exchanges. Perhaps they will find a new 'service' for record identification and my account with be brought up to 3 btc withdrawal per day, perhaps not, for now they can kma as far as my submitting a selfie with my ID. This situation screams NO to me.

How much is the minimum amount of BTC in bittrex account that they'd require selfie and passport? I don't have much there besides the fact that I bought XRP in there. I'm worried too whether they'd close my account and not return my money if I don't provide ID which I'm skeptical of giving as well.
