This exchange has been my favourite for the longest time (secure, usually reliable, no lag, great liquidity, bot friendly, troll box amusement, no hassles getting cash out, etc.).

However in the past month or so, I feel increasingly as though it's gone the way of the dinosaurs.

* There are zero innovations or attempts to improve/revamp the site; no new features, tools, usability improvements, style changes etc.

* Coins that have a huge following like Doge are completely ignored, yet they persist with low-interest stuff like Feathercoin, Novocoin and TRC.

* Troll box conversations have become completely banal for the most part. Due to the lack of options, punters don't have many moves to make except trying to pick the bottom of falling BTC & LTC markets.

* Customer service continues to be a sad state of affairs; it's functional but not good enough for one of the leading exchanges.

So when are BTC-e going to take it to the next level? I think the people in charge should not take their standing for granted; things can rapidly change in this landscape!

RE: DOGE, they've probably decided it's not worth redoing their entire exchange for. They don't have enough decimal places. The crapcoins you mention don't need quite as many (though FTC has come close to being delisted at least partially because the value was dropping so low the resolution of the exchange was becoming insufficient - each step was 10% at one point)

i kinda like that btc-e just has a few coins. probably why it is usually always fast/lag free.

You guys are very focussed on the coins that they have/don't have.

What about the whole product? There's been absolution no evidence that they're willing to evolve. Many millions of profit but they won't hire customer service staff? No affiliate program? Revamp interface? Contrast this with guys like Vault of Satoshi, Coinbase etc. These guys are really trying.

Indeed, i think that this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=460138.0 is related.

In short: they have an unfixed chat problem they are not able to add a blacklist/whitelist for links posted in the chat, allowing hackers to run an endless
phishing attack on their users. And every user hacked will end up with a suspended account and in their service ticket Limbo, waiting weeks and even
month with seized asset and blocked account (means they can't trade - not only banned from chat).

It does not make sense. They should be able to fix that easily and people are happy to driven even more ,oney to them.
