There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Guys, many greets! I would say almoust for sure that flappy.stablehash.com is a scam pool. Its down for 2 or 3 days already. I had there around 900 000 FLAPs and i couldn't withdraw it coz it didnt work. The owner didnt respond to my messages in the pool messaging service and here on bitcointalk. Well, its for you to decide, but thats what happend to me.

back up to 1.56Gh/s and rising as pools come back online and miners switch back over

the domain seems to be coming back. the cloud flare message is gone, there was a "webserver initialization" message some minutes ago. right now stablehash displays a blank screen. I'm confident it'll be up. If not, enough pools to choose from ;-)

So I tried everything to get this working and am just gonna let the wallet do its own thing for 1-2 days. But I have a question, in the Settings > Network, do you have 'Connect through SOCKS proxy' enabled? I think I enabled it since my wallet wasn't working, just to try different things. But now I can't even disable it, even if I deleted all the flappy files lol
Try download the new wallet version 1.0.0.2 with DNSPatched. And delete everything in this folder, except your wallet.dat %APPDATA%\Flappycoin Nice, I didn't see there was a new 1.0.0.2 version, thanks for the info. Should I also add the flappy.conf, or does this one not need it? This version won't need it, just give the wallet a few minutes to start syncing Thanks for the info again. Well I haven't been keeping track of how long I let it do its thing, but suppose it still doesn't update, is there something I should try on my end? Like unblock some ports or something? I let it through my firewall and everything, I hope its not due to Windows 8.1 haha Well I had hoped this wouldn't happen, but after about 4-5 hours, my wallet still hasn't synced at all even with the new DNS patched 1.0.0.2. Gonna disable the antivirus for a hour and see what happens - using Avast
