I see your idea very well. Now 0.01 BTC is not worth much. But maybe 14 more years 0,01 BTC will be valuable. something very meaningful to your nephew

yeah it seems a very good idea and if btc in future becomes the global currency than the 0.01btc would worth too much and maybe your nephew would become rich at 18 and thank you everytime.

You should realise that giving something to your nephew must be calculated and weighed. those are personal issues that you should be able to handle yourself. If I have to give my nephew 0.01btc, I would go ahead and make him happy by giving him the 0.01btc and a bonus 1btc! That way he knows for life who set him up to early financial freedom

0.01 Bitcoin may not mean so much now, but one can only imagine the future possibility.Imagine 1 bitcoin become a million dollar in 10 years time, 0.01 btc will be a lot legacy for a child then.

Good uncle here spotted  Grin this is a really thoughtful gift of you. He'll be really lucky if its value is so high when he turns 18. Just keep that paper secured and you're good to go.

When he was 20 years old, 0.01 BTC should be worth thousands of dollars, which should be the biggest gift he got as an adult. I really envy your nephew.

0.01 in the next 5 years would be different. So you're thinking about his future on that price. I would glad if those Bitcoin will reach 1million per bitcoin. You're newphew will retire early at the age of 10 years old lol

This idea is so great and just shows how loving and generous you are to your nephew. But looking at the big picture I don't think that it will be possible now because you just said that your nephew is just 4 yrs old. Maybe the better thing that you can do is to make that amount grow and when times comes that your nephew is old enough then you can already give it to him.
He's a loving uncle and I hope he's one of my relatives that are in crypto but sadly, no one has ever get interested to it in our blood line but only me. It's okay if his nephew is young, like the 0.01BTC that he'll give is also young so until it grows together with his nephew the value will also grow.

You will love to see it growing.

That's nice of you being an uncle but I don't think if that would be a great idea since you have mentioned that your nephew is just 4 yrs old. Well giving it to him is a good thing but how can he evenre make it grow? You have a great idea but it's complicated it your case especially your nephew is not yet aware of the systemtime. My advice for you is to make it grow first then give him some soon.
His nephew doesn't need to do something to grow, it will be stored on a paper wallet so there's no need to worry about that.

It is like an inheritance.

That's the max that I can afford at the moment (I'm 22) but I want to save it on a wllet of paper and give it to my sister telling her to keep it safe and that we will give it to him when he is 18 years old. Do you think is a nice idea? Cheesy
This is great and meaningful when you decide to donate 0.01BTC as an item too. If you write in a private key, I suggest you put the paper in a glass jar and bury it in the ground with your child. And say we will exchange it when he's 18th birthday.

I wish i could no your reason for doing this but be it as it may i think it is a right step at the right direction, by this you have automatically enrolled him into crypto family which is a plus to our big family.

Keeping bitcoin in a longer span of time as history proves.. a huge profit.12 more years were not too far for bitcoin to live long and i think it was such a great idea of saving it for him.I just thought that at a younger age theres a chance that he will be aware of the creation of high technology, the blockchain technology and probably he will become interested with it,most especially that he already owns bitcoin in an early age.

They won't be thinking much about it in the long run since they don't delve in cryptos like you do. IMO, it's best if you just keep it and give cash to your nephew. When he is 18 yrs old, and bitcoin price is hopefully high, then you can give him the 0.01 BTC. I think he would be happier that way.

I think this is a good idea though the value of bitcoin is currently relatively low probability of 0.01 btc in the next 15 years to come 0.01 btc is very meaningful but you have to remember is to keep it in a really safe place so as not to waste -drain.

Its a good idea plus a greatest gift for your nephew.0.01 is enough money and since you're giving it after 15 year so it become double and triple.I believe everybody will be using bitcoin after 15 years .I my self save some coins for my son and i believe it will help him when he reach in university level.

It is a pretty nice idea to gift your nephew some bitcoins as he will also learn about some investing and also will be having an example on how a small investment can give tremendous returns in the future but you must make a backup of that wallet as it's pretty easy to loose a paper wallet if not kept safe and there have been times when the people have lost their printed paper wallet in some place like in their old table which they have thrown and also they lost their digital wallet in a hard drive.

If I were you, I would not be in a hurry, but would collect a little more, at least 1 BTC. After all, there is no urgency to make a gift right now, so the more you give, the more pleasant your nephew will be. I consider you a very reasonable and generous person.

Do you know many people with several thousand dollars ready to be thrown at something that won't be tapped for many years? I don't. Unless you bought one in the $200 range it's not going to happen.

This is a cool gesture that might be a nice bonus some day and that's how it should be treated by the person providing it too. No point in wiping themselves out.
