Hi, I am new to mintcoin and the altcoin community.
When I was told my mintcoins were sent, I checked my wallet and nothing showed up.
I guess this is due to the wallet being out of sync and not connected to the mintcoin network or something?

Worse, I broke my main laptop and I am using an old netbook with ubuntu and vitualbox.
Windows XP sp2 on Virtualbox runs extremely slow.
Could someone please let me know what I can do to fix the out of sync problem with the mintcoin wallet?
I appreciate it. Thank you.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

I had this problem and tried every .conf file trick I could find. Nothing worked, then someone advised me to just delete my .conf file and try synching without it. At first it seemed like it was not working, but I left my wallet to it's own devices for about an hour and it had synched afterwards.

Try not using a .conf file and just leaving it to run for an hour. Sometimes my wallet is synching but does not show a progress bar and sometimes it does. There have also been times it said it was up to date but then a progress bar appeared showing it was not up to date!

I will leave it for two hours since it is being used on the ultra slow virtualbox Windows XP, we will see what happens. Hopefully it works.
I hope it's not a problem with virtualbox Windows, because I am not an I.T guy and would not know what complex settings to change, etc.
Will post tonight if mintcoin wallet worked or not.

Sometimes I have to restart it to get it to synch. Try it a few more times if it does not work the first time.
