Cheating bounties with alt accounts and using my bct handle

Hi,

I just found out someone had applied for the yocoin twitter campaign using my bct handle.
Fortunately he has been removed from the spreadsheet

So I decided to make a search in the bounties section with the twitter address he provided ( https://twitter.com/seliminkardesi )

Apparently at least 4 people are using that address

What's funny is that he mistakenly quotes asklepion's posts : http://archive.is/3xi7G . It proves that he cheated the campaign, using two accounts to participate.

I wouldn't have cared about the alts, I just don't appreciate the guy using my handle (not even sure of the reason for that  ).

Most likely a bot or someone with the hope of tricking the manager into paying them for something that they don't deserve (I wouldn't be surprised if other things are fake as well) or just someone that hates you and wants to ruin your reputation (there's always a possibility).
Always archive those pages using a website like "https://archive.fo".

Or some people just want your account to be worthless because you have good merit records so some haters (no need that he hates you personally,he may want your account to be useless for some reason I think) want your account to have negative trust or they just want earn some money.

So what you're saying is, basically anybody can ruin an account this way ? A guy uses your handle to cheat bounties and if someone believes you're the cheater, you can't do anything about it ?

If someone uses same address for different accounts in joining bounties,or the same twitter account link in different accounts then chance of getting negative trust from the DT members.The only way to avoid this by proving that you are the actual owner of that twitter account.

IMO evidences pulled out from spreadsheet entries is not a solid proof as there is no way to verify who actually entered the record - real owner or someone else plotting something (like in your case).

That's why investigators shouldn't rely on it as a tough evidence and same for bounty manager's before taking a decision against the participant accused.
