The discounted rate ends tonight -- commissions go from 0.3% to 0.65%.

My attention was just drawn to that fact a minute ago.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Transferring some Mt.Gox USD to my Dwolla account now, thanks for the reminder!

The fees is for USD to BTC not to get money in and out.

Weren't the fees .006 and now .0065 ?  That's higher that ever.

Whoa, where'd you go, Angelus?  I haven't seen you post in a couple three weeks.  Or maybe I'm just hanging out in the wrong sub forums.

My jaw was busy hitting the floor during the recent roller-coaster ride. Keeping busy with real life as well.

Are the other exchanges cheaper?  Tradehill is pretty close to Mt. Gox's 0.65%.
I haven't checked out the others -- mostly because I don't believe they have enough critical mass/volume to make them worth it just yet.

Honestly, the OP should change the thread title as it has been extended to the 16th for fee increase to .65 instead of the current .3 !!!!

Red flags:
  • Business address is a mail forwarding service ("A prominent business address, situated in London's famous Mayfair district, 14 Hanover Street is a location that’s sure to impress any client. All mail addressed to you will be forwarded on either daily or weekly.").
  • SSL cert is "domain control only validated".
  • Anonymous domain registration ("Protected Domain Services")

However, "Intersango, Ltd" is a registered UK company with Companies House, and has a Dun and Bradstreet entry.  So, for a fee, you can find out where they really are and who is behind them.

Or, if you have doubts about intersango.us/.com/britcoin - just ask Genjix... (not half as elegant but twice as cheap *g*)
