Long time ago we created a site for our internal use. We liked it so much that we decided to share it with the community!

Reading crypto news was very painful. Each of us spent 3-5 hours per day to crawl through 7+ news sources with similar articles and mostly useless content.

We solved the problem.

Now one of our team members reads all crypto related posts and uploads articles that are worth reading to THE SILICOIN website. Thanks to our editors we spend 30 minutes instead of 5 hours to be on top of all news in crypto.

Regarding trading data - the key difference is the level of detail.
We've built a research platform for crypto traders.
Say you want to analyze average price for Bitcoin. On THE SILICOIN you can easily trace it down to price on every listed exchange including historical quotes and trading volumes for each of them. Need more data? You can analyze last quotes and historical data for every trading pair on every listed exchange.

We also provide the most fresh data - prices are updated every 2 seconds, no need to wait 5 minutes 
BTW we coded our pricing algorithms so that it gives very high precision.

Check out search interest trends provided on page of each coin. For instance DASH did not loose as much interest as Bitcoin did. Moreover, interest to DASH in Venezuela is very high (#3 country) - likely because Petro is said to be a copy of DASH. https://imgur.com/ibbOAcg

Regarding news feed - it is completely different. All news on THE SILICOIN are human (very smart human) read. We exclude copies, rubbish and nonsense. Users get only news that are worth reading.

First and foremost we want to create a useful web resource about cryptocurrencies and DLT.
Information about crypto should be transparent and easily accessible for the community and adoption to grow.
Obviously we'd be happy if people switch from CMC to THE SILICOIN - it would indicate that we made a good job 

A number of features that we like a lot are under final testing - we will release them soon. Users to decide whether they are big enough.
