There is a proposition to fork Blackcoin, add secure messaging and anonymous transactions as a first step. So we'll get rid of these syncing and staking issues and will have more stable client.

Reddcoin is doing the same thing. Unless you want to switch the POS algorithm away from POSV you might consider helping redd.

There are also plenty of good things coming, but at first we have to release a new stable wallet. Still can't say how much time will it take.

Hello. Yes, we'll be most likely moving to Blackcoin codebase with saving all the existent features and an addition of privacy layer.
